I think this offense has incredible potential -- it's shaping up to be more than we ever saw during Gibbs II. They seem to be learning this system at an accelerated rate and Campbell looks like he's getting more comfortable. That said, there are still kinks to be ironed out. The running game got stymied today, and you cannot discount the fact that the Saints, who were missing three starters on defense, and the Cardinals might not be the stiffest tests for any offense. The Eagles D was downright scary today. And the Cowboys front seven is incredibly fast. Still, they're taking care of business against mediocre opponents, and that's one of the marks of a good team. |

Re: JC is not what I thought.
Can you imagine JC 2-3 years in this system? Is'nt it funny how the haters who were saying he was stupid and would never make it as an NFL quarterback have mysteriously gone silent. So quick to judge, then so quick to hide. Maybe they can progress in their thinking as Jason has in this offense. Maybe now when he makes mistakes, which he will at times, seeing how he has only played 3 games in this offense, and after all, he is only human. Maybe they will understand more about patience and understand " It is better to be silent and thought of a fool, then to open ones mouth and remove all doubt" These same people who are ready to call someone out, need to take accountability for their own remarks. See Jason can't hide, he doe'st have that luxury. Man up haters.

Re: JC is not what I thought.
I agree on the Rogers call...but Heyer hit the man in the front of his pads, it wasn't Heyer's fault his head was turned and he appeared to quit on the play. There is no doubt that was a blown call. Yet Hochuli is getting crucified? There is nothing in the books about not hitting a guy that decided to mentally quit. Besides, the call was "hands to the face", and there was no hands to face at all.

Re: JC is not what I thought.
I am a strong believer in the fact that things are never as good or as bad as they seem (esp. not right after a game). So in that spirit, one area i thought JC needs to improve upon big time is his consistency throughout ENTIRE game. There are going to be games when our defense is going to need a breather, and consecutive 3 & outs aren't going to be acceptable if we want to win. He needs to work on taking what he can and audibling when we need to keep drives alive. Along with that we have been leaving a lotta points out on the field and settling for FG's (esp after a turnover).
Overall he played excellently against a challenging defense and kept pace with a high powered offense. Hope we don't see the Dr. Jekyll side of Campbell on the road the next few weeks.

And I didn't notice time on the clock on the Cardinals touchdown that was called back, but I'm fairly certain that calls relating to the clock are challengable, so if Wisenhunt saw the same thing that you did, he would have challenged it. |

Re: JC is not what I thought.
and to add to that the sketchy officiating..including the two offensive pass interferences and the one def pass interference. the officials were horrible. On that same play there was a late hit on Campbell. So if they had called both fouls then it would have been offset.

Re: JC is not what I thought.
As good as Campbell has been the last 2 weeks...the Oline's performance has been equally as good.
How about some props to the olines improvement since the crap sandwich they fed us week one? Great job oline!

Re: JC is not what I thought.
Some props definitely needs to go to the OL for the pass pro, but the running game is still not firing on all cylinders.

I agree with Mooby, with each passing week this thread does get more and more hilarious.
I am just thankful that those who would jump on our players, aren't responsible for the management of our team! Yes, unfortunately, big time players do have off games and do make mistakes. The true great ones, put their mistakes behind them, learn from their mistakes and grow, as is Campbell. Time will tell whether he will develop into a "great one", but so far, I like what I see, especially considering he is learning ANOTHER new offensive system for the 3rd year running now in the NFL. |

Re: JC is not what I thought.
JC is just what I thought.
He is a young promising quarterback, learning a new offensive system, learning how to win in the NFL. Opposing defensive coordinators are throwing every type of look at him to derail the development process. He has the tools to be successful (strong arm, athleticism, composure and positive attitude). He has had some setbacks but is showing growth with each game. He is as good or better than half of the starting quarterbacks in the NFL. He is definitely not a top tier quarterback but he is better than most.
