This would be a great drive if it came in the 3rd quarter.

Al Saunders should be taken out behind FedEx Field and flogged with rusty piece of rebar. What idiotic playcalling.

Campbell does. It's taped to his throwing arm.

You would've said differently if Campbell would've seen a wide open Cooley twice on the drive.

Re: Falcons at Redskins game thread 12/3/06

I have to say that I'm overseas with only the game track on NFL.com and you guys to keep me up on what's happening. So, I don't have the advantage of seeing things, but it seems to me that our big problem remains the defense giving up the big play. Take away three big plays and we'd be winning. That sounds like we need (a) depth and (b) renewed focus on the fundamentals.

As for the offense, JC had two big mistakes, but for kid in his third start (and doing on a losing team in the middle of the season) he's doing well. (How many other kids under similar circumstances would be making even more mistakes?) I think he's our QB of the future.

So, let's not panic and start talking about going into another major reconstruction. We need a few more pieces and a little more work, not a wholesale restructing.

I don't see him wearing it today.

Oh well, pretty good game Jason. Made some mistakes but didn't completely blow it. He'll look at the tape and see that he needs to go through his reads a little better. Still an okay day. Good tackle Cushion !

Re: Falcons at Redskins game thread 12/3/06

Pass protection blew today, that was the key. JC had someone in his face way too often and he made some bad decisions as a result.

How is it idiotic play calling? He has had betts running all over the place. How about giving ATL some props, they did good. And again our D was really bad today.

Re: Falcons at Redskins game thread 12/3/06

chalk this loss up to jason campbell's learning curve!that gd 70 yard run is
what killed them, and missing that fg did'nt help either!

I'm not complaining about not running enough. I'm complaining about running when you're down two scores with 3 minutes to go.
