Re: Around the NFL Championship Weekend
Yeah, I secretly always wanted to Browns to succeed! Loved seeing Kosar, Slaughter, and Mack play. They were so close yet never could get to the big game!

Richard Sherman explains the Crabtree incident and postgame interview | The MMQB with Peter King
I'd like to know what that overrated, diva bitch said to Sherman in the offseason.

Re: Around the NFL Championship Weekend
I'd bet Sherman would say he was just being a good sport when he asked Tom Brady 'You mad bro?!?' also. I'll wait to hear the mic'd up version of what he said because 'Good game' can have many tones, inflections and levels of sarcasm.

Re: Around the NFL Championship Weekend
Crabtree is, in fact, not a bum. 85-1105-9 is actually pretty good. In my opinion, he's a great WR with a sub-par QB throwing him the ball. Richard Sherman, now, is a f****** a**hole, and I hope Peyton Manning and his WRs light that Seattle defense up in the Super Bowl. If Denver wins by less than 35, I'll be disappointed.

Re: Around the NFL Championship Weekend
I give Richard Sherman credit. I think he IS the best corner in the league. He talks a lot of smack, but he backs it up with his play on the field. I'd love to have someone on the 'skins defense with his talent.
With that said, here are things that Sherman apologists have used as reasons for agreeing with his behavior: 1) Sherman was interviewed during the "heat of the moment! His team just won the NFC Championship and is going to the Super Bowl. Sherman is going to be pumped up!" OK. How about all the players who have come before him, who have played in the Super Bowl, who were interviewed during the "heat of the moment" and were very professional during their after game interviews? Sorry, that excuse doesn't fly. 2) Crabtree started the whole thing. So what? Who care's? Maturity is letting it roll off of you an moving on. Sherman is talented enough to let his play on his field speak for him. He doesn't need to flap his gums. 3) Sherman is a Stanford grad, how can he be called a thug? Since when does book smarts cancel out commonsense? I know plenty of people who graduated at the top of their class that has failed at life because they have no commonsense. And who's to say it was all Richard Sherman? Maybe it was, and maybe it was all of his tutors? We don't know the real story behind his education. All we know is, he doesn't appear to be representing Stanford with the highest of maturity level.

Re: Around the NFL Championship Weekend
crabtree is a great WR. his college numbers were ridiculous, and i'm sure (barring injury problems) his career will bear that out.

I'm positive Crabtree isn't the innocent victim in this, but hey, after being interviewed, he said, "He's a TV guy, that ain't me." I'm just ultra bothered by how the FIRST THING he said when interviewed was that he was the best in the NFL. HE was, not the pass rush that helped him, hell, NOT EVEN THE GUY WHO CAUGHT THE DAMN INT. Sure, he back-peddled and did some damage control giving credit to his teammates, blah blah blah, but when I see a me-first player, it's always going to be obvious. Regardless of talent, he's not someone I'd want on this team. Deion was a damn Teletubby compared to him and even with the promise of Deion prior to the 2000 debacle, I was not going to cheer for someone like that. A ton of people applaud his "confidence", and sure the Skins have people who will do a gesture here and there after a play, but I've never seen anyone to his level in years (if ever). Just a total piece of work. I hope the Broncos eat his ass alive.

Re: Around the NFL Championship Weekend
If Sherman were a Redskin we'd all love the guy. Dexter did the same kind thing stuff, although not to Sherman's level. Plus sticking a microphone in front of a player after an emotional game is stupid.
