Re: Skins-Jags Positives and Negatives

Rambo must get psyched out on game days. There's no way that he held a roster spot for so long if he plays in practice like he does in games.

I wish him well...on another roster.

Re: Skins-Jags Positives and Negatives

I had high hopes for rambo but the warning signs were big and they were there early.

Multiple personal fouls for late hits, including hits way out of bounds, in preseason. Bad angles. Looking lost in coverage.

All mental mistakes. Those can be fixable, but the gap between where Rambo was and where he needed to be was just too large. He was benched last season too.

Shame is that he had so much physical ability. He could have been good. But you can't fix stupid, and this team doesn't have a place for long term long shot projects anymore.

I wonder whether Rambo will be an addition to the practice squad. Hard to imagine anyone else will be scrambling to sign him right now. And to the point someone earlier made, Haslett said he played well outside of two bad (really, horrifically bad -- let's be honest) plays. Not lobbying for this -- just wondering.

sometimes it's just about sharing opinions, not trying to be chesty.

i know it's hard to think that way, it requires not prejudging and being willing to take comments at face value. something that seems to be hard to find on the internet these days.

I always thought he was an average athlete with average physical ability, at least for NFL players.

I'm about the furthest thing from a college scout as it gets, so you may be right

I always thought people referred to him as being quite an athlete.

Oh well, it doesn't matter now

His last suspension came off a play where he led with shoulder and receiver ducked into him. No matter how he tackles now he will be focused by officials.

Andrew Luck made a similar bootleg jump pass last week and looked like Derek Jeter fielding a ball and making the throw to first all in one motion. Griff tries it and lands funny and hurts his ankle. Wtf?
Watch the play again. He didn't hurt himself on the landing. His left ankle dislocated when he cut sharply upfield to avoid the LB, then he took one more step and jumped from his right foot, then threw the pass. I believe that he jumped to avoid taking another step on his left foot. Watch the replay again, and I'm sure you will see that play differently. It was actually rather athletic, that he threw an accurate pass, and avoided landing on the injured ankle.

Yeah he hurt it going up - my bad on the wording but the rest of my statement still stands imo.
