Thanks but no thanks. We have a QB now, we don't need to cover up our passing game with big name receivers.

We also need Kareem Moore to come back. That TD pass to Andre Johnson probably doesn't happen with Moore.

I don't know if there's a player on this roster that would have been able to defend Johnson on that particular play. It was an all or nothing play for Houston: Find your best guy, throw a jump-ball to him, and hope he comes down with the ball -- it worked.

Only Darrell Green or Sean Taylor might have been able to break up that pass. I'm trying to remember what Kareem Moore has done to make people so confident everything will be fine once he's back.

I think in that situation, D. Green would not have been able to overcome his size disadvantage. He also wouldn't have been playing safety in the first place.

Sean Taylor would have stared at Andre Johnson during that play which would have resulted in Andre Johnson being unable to move.

Re: V. Jackson "Prepared to Sit out season"

To me it depends on Williams. If he comes back in a relatively short period of time, I say we find a way to make this work.

If Williams is done, forget it.

I don't know. VJax is a deep threat. Deep threats are useless when their QB doesn't have time to throw. We can obviously get by with Brown at LT, in fact he might even represent an upgrade at this point, but the difference in the amount of time McNabb had to throw was night and day when between Trent was playing and after he went out.

That was my point. If Williams is out, there is no reason to go after V-Jack.

Sorry, my bad. I was still fuming mad after the loss so I didn't read your post as closely as I should have.

Re: V. Jackson "Prepared to Sit out season"

It's funny that as much as the term "football shape" was on Redskins news, people are not concerned about the toll that Jackson's hold out has on his "football shape". Case in point, Darrelle Revis, probably the best CB in the league, seems to have been sidelined by a hamstring injury. Many speculate that Revis' issues may stem from not being at camp and getting his body in football shape.

After tonight's massive air attack, I don't think we have much of a WR issue. Definitely not worth paying the price that it will cost to get this guy. So I think this issue is pretty much dead.

Re: V. Jackson "Prepared to Sit out season"

Is it time to start a "trade for Marcus McNeill" thread?
He's also their other Holdout and we have no idea how long trent is gone for...

Would you give them our 1st rounder for both McNeil and Jackson? lol
crazy I know...lol

This weekend is going to be interesting..(or before wednesday deadline)
Specially since the Vikings are looking bad now..I think they may throw all their chips on the table for jackson...

We shall see

Yah, wouldn't McNeil be the highest paid backup LT ever?
