Looks like the toilet paper hoarding is getting worse not better. McMaster Carr which is a supply house to industry had toilet paper on a 3 week back order two weeks ago, the back order is now quoted at 7-8 weeks. Uline, a shipping supply company has toilet paper available to existing customers, with a limit of two cases. To be considered an existing customer you must have made a purchase as recent as 2019.

Photos Show NYC Parks Still Bustling During The Global Pandemic

Just remember this..it’s been like this everyday the entire time

I thought this data presentation was pretty good and really shows how travel has affected the spread.

I wouldn't call that "bustling" people seem to be spaced apart. On a typical weekend people would probably be elbow to elbow there.

Re: Coronavirus (non political)

I feel sorry for people who live in the city and don't have places to go away from others. This weekend was beautiful and having a yard was a blessing. Worked in the yard Saturday and went for a boat ride yesterday. Saw a ton of people on the water and very little social distancing. You could tell the families out on the water but I saw plenty of other boats packed with people who you knew were not family.

Lots of young people are throwing "Suite Parties". They are renting hotel rooms and getting together.

Those Viet-Bikini coffee shops in the OC are still open.

Re: Coronavirus (non political)

Can it be spread through the air?

Im not talking about someone with COVID sneezing and you walk right into their spray mist. I keep hearing it can be transmitted through touching of surfaces and or if you inhale wet droplets.
--------------------------------------

Person-to-person spread

The virus is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person.

Between people who are in close contact with one another (within about 6 feet).
Through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes.

These droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into the lungs.

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019...d-spreads.html
--------------------

I find it hard to believe that it is spreading so fast just by touching surfaces, and I find it very hard to believe that people are walking into sneeze mists. Im sure you are on a bus or elevator, someone sneezes, yes there is potential for exposure ... I guess since I dont take buses or need an elevator im kinda blind to the situational dangers.

My office building has central air for 5 floors, probably 200 people inside on a normal work day. Not sure how many are here now, maybe 50.

I assume filters and the delay in any infected air making its way to me is a complete deterent.

Not good, I worked at a place in OC that had quite a few Vietnamese guys. Most came from pretty large households, whether lots of roommates or having 3 generations under one roof. I would think people who habitually have less personal space than most need to be extra careful.

Just go real early or real late. Went to the grocery store Sunday morning and it was pretty empty. Drove by it around 10 and again around 1 and both times it looked packed.
