Re: Commanders 2024 NFL Draft Thread
@JP Finlay
Good insight from @TampaBayTre on Commanders 3rd round pick Brandon Coleman: "One of the best developmental tackle prospects in this draft...Coleman has the talent to be a starting LT in this league but it might take a little while." |

Re: Commanders 2024 NFL Draft Thread
I wish Coleman played some RT in college. I'm fine w/ Lucas as a 1-year stop gap at LT, but I do NOT want to watch Rylie at RT again. That's the 1 position I'm hoping we still do something about before Game 1.

Re: Commanders 2024 NFL Draft Thread
I was hearing on one of the radio shows that they believe we are switching from a power blocking scheme to a zone blocking scheme and that the zone blocking scheme fits Wylie a TON better. If so, give him a chance to see what he can do in the scheme. He certainly didn't look that bad playing for KC and Mahommes.

Re: Commanders 2024 NFL Draft Thread
they already made their decision . . . yes . . . all i am saying is many people here think he was horrible last year, and he was, but if playing in a scheme he doesn't fit and moving back to one he does, well that could make him the player that was turning heads in their Superbowl against a fantastic d-line that could do nothing against him.

2025 mock draft:
1. OT or Outside CB 2. Outside CB or OT

Re: Commanders 2024 NFL Draft Thread
Ive done quite a few already. I scroll until i find an OT and repeat for my second pick. Than i go bpa. There is nothing more useless than a mock draft the day after the draft but I cant help myself. Ha. |

Re: Commanders 2024 NFL Draft Thread
QB: Daniels
RB: Robinson (Ekeler on 3rd downs) WR: McLaurin Slot: McCaffery LT: Lucas LG: Allegretti C: Biadasz RG: Cosmi RT: Wylie (unless Coleman can swing to RT, but that's a bit of an ask in 1 offseason) TE: Ertz (I think Sinnot starts by mid-season) WR: Dotson The OL still leaves a lot to be desired.

RB Robinson/Eckler (I think it's more 50/50 than we think it's gonna be) WR McLaurin Slot: McCaffrey 70% of the time/Dotson 30% of the time LT: Smith (Donovan FA) LG: Allegretti C: Biadasz RG: Cosmi RT: Wylie (Coleman challenges him) TE: Sinnot (I think he starts from day 1 with Ertz spelling him, I think Ertz was mainly brought in to mentor whichever TE we drafted and to get him up to speed on the playbook WR: Dotson 70% of the time/McCaffrey 30% of the time

Re: Commanders 2024 NFL Draft Thread
There is still plenty of time to pick up an interim LT by trade, salary dump, starters displaced by star rookies, etc. I think something will be done to improve the T situation this year.

Still think we need to pick up another CB. BSJ, and Forbes aren’t quality starters. |

But I'd rather have him than not. I love athletic tackles. Trent has ruined any other kind for me.

Re: Commanders 2024 NFL Draft Thread
The more I hear about Ben Sinnott the more I understand the pick and the value of this type of player.
But will Kingsbury use him in the ways to make him an asset? Not so sure.
