Re: Around the NFL Week 5
The Cowboys can't win without Romo right now. The converse is, of course, every once in a while they will lose b/c of Romo.
That was a horrible throw and it was typical Romo. At the same time, but for Romo, that throw wouldn't have even mattered b/c the Cowboys wouldn't have been in the game.

Romo is truly an enigma.

Re: Around the NFL Week 5
If Romo throws a touchdown and no one sees it, does it really count?

Re: Around the NFL Week 5
When you look at it, you realize it was a spectacular play by the defense more than a bone headed throw by Romo. The throw was accurate and on the money. The defender was BEHIND Escobar when the ball was thrown, and he dove to make the interception.

Re: Around the NFL Week 5
But Romo had Murray wide open, with no defender near who could make such a great play.

Re: Around the NFL Week 5
Romo forced the throw into traffic with a wide open checkdown guy sitting right there in front of his face. I don't know how it can be seen as anything other than a mistake on his part.

Re: Around the NFL Week 5
Random thoughts from yesterday:
Mannings interception occurred not because it was a poor choice, but because the sun got into Deckers eyes. Claiborne was wearing a visor, located the ball and picked it. The giants may get Jedaveon clowney. That would be scary for the NFC East with him and JPP. I think Mannings receiving core is slightly worse than Brady's was back in 2007; goes to show how Peyton's doing with Great players and how Tom did with Great players, if you want to go there in the whole Brady-Manning debate. Matt Schaub is who I thought he was, an overrated system QB. Johnny Manziel would make the Texans a Super Bowl contender next year should he get drafted there. Colin Kaepernick is so overrated. Putting him in the same class as Luck, Wilson and Griffin is like putting Romo in the same class as Brady, Manning, Rodgers and Brees--it's offensive to those great players. The Vikings now have 3 below average QBs on their roster. Sad, because that team has a lot of talent. It's early, and I'm not jumping on the bandwagon yet, but the Saints look like the 2nd best team in the NFC. First would sadly be Seattle, who I think will beat New Orleans head to head in a few weeks when it's played in Seattle. Keep in mind Seattle is without their 3 Key OLineman right now.
