Re: Skins vs Packers post game thread
Well, I know he can fix our defense. When he was with the Ravens he did good with Harbaugh who has more bite than Shanahan. I perfectly understand and agree that their ego's would clash, but at the same time when two guys are desperate to win with the same goal in mind, maybe they both bite the bullet. Hell Sean Payton bit the bullet and gave up a portion of his salary to sign Gregg Williams, and they clashed a few times, but they won the super bowl, then went their separate ways.

Rex would be a good solution for the defense.
I would not want him running the club. Unless we keep KS, which would be highly improbable. That's not what I want though, I want these guys to figure out what they have to fix and ..... Fix It! … Fix it! …[from the Saturday Night Live skit]

Exactly, some of the folks in here don't want to put any blame on the coaching, but sorry, if a team comes out looking like crap in two consecutive games, poor preparation on the practice field and in the tape room and planning sessions are to blame as much as execution. With the exception of the two rook DBs, we basically have the same team. They are professionals and obviously know how to play football as they are the defending divisional champs. If the problem is our diva QB, then the HC benches his ass. Right now this kid might just end up a big of a bust as Shuler was if he doesn't get his act together. Shanahan has to man up and take control of the team. Damn I wish we could find another George Allen type or Ditka type that wouldn't stand for a diva. |

Re: Skins vs Packers post game thread
What's the definition of diva in this instance? If it refers to RG doing plethora commercials for Subway, Gatorade etc., while Andrew luck has seem more focused on his football career, then I agree. Peyton can get away with it because he's got a ring and because he's the most prepared guy on the field. Oh and the hall of fame.
RG should focus on football from now until he holds up the Lombardi. Problem is, he probably knows it's not happening anytime soon, for reasons outside his control, but he still needs to do the right thing.
