Re: 2012 NFL Draft (Day 2)
I believe there was an entire thread about this. Initially thought to be a strategy employed only by the KC Chiefs, it was later believed that many drafted players are captains because normally only the best players on college teams are the ones to be named captains. I remember a lot of pics of various cartoon captains as well.

I can't believe we are making comparisons to players Vinny Cerrato drafted.

Re: 2012 NFL Draft (Day 2)
Thats the general rule: If you like the guy you should take him. Your assumption that he will be there later may not come to pass: you don't know if he will be there later or not. You can ASSUME but you really don't know. If you like him and the next option available is significantly worse, then it is smarter to take him now while you can and accept the criticism for taking him "too early" vs. risking losing him because you knew he would be there later.

Re: 2012 NFL Draft (Day 2)
Theres a difference between forming reasonable opinions and knee jerk reactions.
There are people here who's opinions I pay attention to and those I don't. Some shed insight. Others remind me of why I left extremeskins. Anyone who justifies their opinion by taking the opposite opinion to the extreme to point its ridiculousness ca t be taken seriously.

Re: 2012 NFL Draft (Day 2)
Obviously, the Redskins thought that LeRibeus was going to be drafted before their next pick and they thought he was the best interior offensive lineman left.
All of this is not going to matter in the end as long as LeRibeus plays well. Just like any other draft pick, only time will tell. |

Re: 2012 NFL Draft (Day 2)
I'd like Lamar Miller, but I'm only basing that off his Ohio State, VT, and FSU games. I haven't spent months researching and watching all his game tape, so I'll have to wait for Bruce & Co. to tell me how to think.

Re: 2012 NFL Draft (Day 2)
Honestly I feel like we didn't lose anything picking LeRibeus in the 3rd. I thought gaurd was a huge need for us Polk, Rainey and Thomas are still available tomorrow.
