They must have liked Magee over Trotter Jr.

Christian Jones would be a good pick here...

Re: Commanders 2024 NFL Draft Thread
Overall, I've been pleased with the selections and moves made so far. Would have liked to get more OL but it is what it is. Hopefully they can make it up next years draft.

Dominique Hampton big and physical. Big hitter that also gets interceptions. Nice.

Re: Commanders 2024 NFL Draft Thread
Yeah like the CB pick the other guy was rated higher. I just wish the picks weren’t going to the eagles in case we are wrong. Hampton is a good safety and probably the late round secondary pick that peters has been known to hit on. Hopefully. Thought Brade would be the pick because Maryland. There were, again, higher rated S’s but like you keep saying Chief they must like Hampton better. |

Re: Commanders 2024 NFL Draft Thread
Interesting. Assuming Quan is now a safety full time we have a lot of safeties. With DFo and Percival being drafted by the previous regime I wonder if one of them is heading to the exit. Surprised when they passed on Austin Booker but they have a lot of bodies at DE right now. Wonder if we could get more than a bag of footballs for Phidarian Mathis.

Re: Commanders 2024 NFL Draft Thread
I was hoping they would take C Jones there, but it's becoming pretty clear that they don't feel as dire about the tackle position as we all do.

Re: Commanders 2024 NFL Draft Thread
A little surprising but shows again how out of touch with league thinking that the media actually are. Always lots of "highly rated" guys who seem to drop to the lower rounds. Assuming Ron wasn't drafting them of course.

Re: Commanders 2024 NFL Draft Thread
I always thought that is how to do it .. when drafting need you can definitely over draft ! Maybe they do have a plan at tackle possible Trade Allen ? maybe that's why they drafted Newton .. who knows ? Only time will tell .. i'm trying to be optimistic!

They’re not try to win the SB in one offseason, it’s all about a multi year process.

Surprising he is still there, yes. Could be a good or great value in the 6-7 round though. Hope he is there when we come around again. |
