Re: Robert Royal
man i went to the game and people just started boooing royal after a while, i mean after just the first drop, not that he didn't deserve it but he must have felt like shit after each drop. He shouldn't be on this team though, TEs are suppossed to block and catch, he can't catch so we must be keeping him to block

Seriously though, this could be a bit of a stretch but from what I understand his family down in New Orleans lost everything with Katrina. Thanks to Snyder sending his plane down there, his family made it out there safely. But I wonder if his mind just isn't with football right now.

Re: Robert Royal
He's playing hurt, but I think he's average even when healthy. Given how thin we are at the position, I doubt he will get cut this year.

Robert Johnson, i actually like that guy. Big, CATCHES and Royal is really not helping us at all.

You know, not to beat the "we should have drafted this guy" into the ground, but ... Imagine if we took Shawn Merriman instead of Carlos Rogers, and Heath Miller (TE, Virginia) instead of Jason Campbell? Rogers and Campbell could be members of the Ring of Fame at Fed Ex Field some day, I know. But hey, a Redskin fan can dream, can't he? |

Re: (Merged Thread) Robert Royal
In context though, A Gates was dropping passes today too, maybe a wet ball?
It's really just excuses for my frustration with the losses.

Jesus, I didn't realize Robert Johnson is 6'6" and 278 pounds. Can anyone saw jumbo package?
Can the guy block, catch? What's scouting report on this guy? I'll be the best friend of anyone who can post it. |

http://www.masterplangroup.com/Robert.Johnson.htm Scouting Report: Johnson's frame, athleticism and soft hands fit the prototypical NFL tight end mold. Football skills warrant a first round choice. Robert is a terrific athlete who looks like a man amongst boys on the field. He is big, powerful, and a dominant blocker at the line. He catches the ball very well in traffic and has outstanding ability to break tackles after the catch. Johnson possesses solid fundamentals in every facet of his game. http://www.bigblueinteractive.com/draft/drpros03.htm Robert Johnson is a big tight end who has the size and long arms to develop into a good blocker. Junior. Needs to get stronger in order to become a more effective in-line blocker. Needs a lot of technique work. Decent underneath receiver for his size. Uses his size and can catch. Flashes some run-after-the-catch ability. http://www.kffl.com/article.php/1090/160 http://vikings.scout.com/2/93412.html
