Re: instant replay on Brunell crossing line of scrimmage
again,i think this is one of those phantom calls against the skins that we will never know the true answer to,does anybody else remember the playoff game,I think against detroit ,i think in 91,where detroit fumbled and out of the pile a skin picked it up and ran it in for a td and the officials were still looking for the ball in the pile and ended up giving detroit the ball?we ended up blowing them out so the call didnt matter, but it was fcked up and we never got an apology from the nfl, total bs

Re: instant replay on Brunell crossing line of scrimmage
I was saying it at the time you can't review a play to see if there's a penalty, where does it stop, you either throw the flag and then review it, or that's it, I wonder if the replay official scanned the field on that review to see if one of our receivers was bumped after 5 yards? After all that is a penalty.

Re: instant replay on Brunell crossing line of scrimmage
Yeah why was that reviewed??? Is it legal to review spot of pass??? Think there's something real sketchy going on.

Re: instant replay on Brunell crossing line of scrimmage
no comment, this game was our's to have but we lost, breaks can't always go your way. we just ahve to find away to put more than 20 point's on the board. our d is not as strong as it was last year . especially in the secondary. ide got burned but also made some plays.why don't they use lavar on obvious passing down's like marvin used? he get's to play and we get some pressure on the qb.denver won but they are not a better team.

Re: instant replay on Brunell crossing line of scrimmage
OK OK i will say something about the bull pucky called the officating. there's no consistancy at all, just seems to be that anytime the skins get some mo, out comes the hanky. yes we l blew tackles on bell, and yes we blew the field goal with a jerk or twich. that by the way i never saw. but i want my team to just play the other team . not the ref's too. there, i said it. you happy ( ha ha ha )

Re: instant replay on Brunell crossing line of scrimmage
The play is reviewable just as a forward pass or lateral is reviewable. Its one of the only plays that can be reviewed without a penalty called, and can be called after reviewed.

Re: Instant replay of Brunell the crossing line of scrimmage
Was the pass complete or incomplete during that play. I can see if it was complete or for a TD or a 1st down they would be able to review because it makes a dramatic change, but if it was incomplete no foul no harm. Brunell should have tucked it and run if I remeber right he had 1 defender in front of him and 1 blocker and about 4 or 5 yards to get the 1st. I guess though if you can review under those circumstances if it was a TD they can do it the other way and rule a penalty as wierd as it sounds and does not make a lot of sense.

Re: Instant replay of Brunell the crossing line of scrimmage
It was a play that the other team could challenge so they could review it from the box.If Plummer threw a pass past the line Gibbs could challenge
