I listened to an interview with yesterday with Doug Wililams. To paraphrase, "Joe Gibbs ALWAYS made decisions based on the best move for the Redskins organization". "Never anything personal". "I did not agree with him benching me, as I thought I was the best QB". "All players think the same thing". but even then, he did what was best for the organization". I for one have been SERIOUSLY enjoying the feeling of KICKING the BOYS ASS (after an eternal drought)! Thankyou JOE for that feeling |

Re: Jets In The Market For Qb!
theres no question we shoudl accept a 1st rounder if we got an offer for one. hell i think we'd be lucky to get a 3rd round pick

er Hog1, i think most agree keeping Brunell in so long last year wasn't the best thing for the team. i'm sure it was meant to be, but it showed Gibbs gave 'his' QB around a thousand more chances than he ever gave Ramsey.

Er ill..., do you fault him as well, for learning from his mistakes?

Re: Jets In The Market For Qb!
If the Jets offer a second round pick for Ramsey, Dan Snyder should personally bicycle Patrick up to the Meadowlands and hand him over with a green and white bow strapped around him.
Who says we have to go with Jason Campbell if Brunell gets hurt? There's got to be some washed up veteran out there who can cram Gibbs' playbook in a pinch. Where's Kent Graham these days? |

I don't think the Jets can't wait until week six to start wheeling and dealing for a QB for a couple of reasons: By the time any new QB get's acclimated to their system, it may be around week 9 or 10. Which leads to the second reason, their playoff hopes may be out of the window at that point. If they are going to make a move and stay in the hunt, Baltimore too I might add, they should do something before week four in my opinion. We'll see how all this shakes out! |

Brunell is now starting for us, how do you figure he learned from his mistake? To bad Gibbs didn't give Ramsey some real playing time to see if he learns from his mistakes, we all know WR's running the wrong routes is a Ramsey mistake not Gibbs, right! Quote:
Funny how Ramsey won the job last season over Brunell in regular season competition, only to lose it in 19 minutes this season of regular season competition, as most scouts and coaches will tell you, pre-season doesn't mean jack when it comes to evaluation of teams and players, there are to many varibles that can lead to a players success, or failure, in a pre-season game. |

Re: Jets In The Market For Qb!
this would be the most oprotune time to trade ramsey. he value will not get any better at the end of the season not starting, and a first rnd would be nice to have.

no one can disagree that as bad as Ramsey may have sucked, Brunell sucked worse. Ramsey looked further out and made some real TDs along with those INTs with the same sub-par receivers. many of us wanted to see what Ramsey could have done with Moss in the regular season, but whatever reason Gibbs doesn't have *a fraction* of the patience for him that he has for Brunell. sucks for Ramsey and us fans sick of the ol' dink/dunk offense, but we can't do anything about it and want to see what comes next. if Ramsey can get us a draft choice back for any of the last overzealous trades we did, i won't cry too hard (well depends on the draft choice). look i'm praying night and day that Gibbs spent the bye week focusing on the one thing that IS different from last year: Santana Moss. i'm crossing my bloody fingers that he really changes the gameplan to make those occasional long passes less of a token (or emergency plan) and more of a key part of the offense. if he doesn't, and we look just like 2004 again, then yeah, i'll wonder what Gibbs learned last year. wouldn't you?

Re: Jets In The Market For Qb!
I would take a 3rd round draft pick and a CB. Or a straight up trade for John Abraham or Shaun Ellis. I don't see a later part happening though.
