With the help of some software, but pretty much thats the idea. I too have a dvd burner on my computer, and with the help of nero and windows movie maker it is pretty unlimited as to what you can do. It is like having a poor man's movie studio. I am sure that there is better out there but for the price I am well satisfied with the software...

Re: How do I record games onto DVD?

you need a tv capture card or other device (like tivo etc) that can record the game from your tv onto a hard drive/dvd/computer of some sort... then you can use movie maker or any of a VAST selection of software to edit out the parts that you don't need. Once that's done a trip through divx compression will shrink the file size by a truly insane amount, or you can burn it as an mpeg for maximum compatability.

Re: How do I record games onto DVD?

i dont know anything about dvd shrink divx is just a codec that uses a good amount of cpu to play back a really compressed form of video without noticeable loss in quality. The end effect (if your computer is at least 800-900mhz) is really tiny file sizes for high quality video (full uncompressed dvd type quality goes from about 4gb (mpeg) to about 650-700mb and looks exactly the same).
