Re: Do you think Rivera will successfully rebuild ?
Also…this Sheehan tweet kinda made me think, the bullshit Ron has put up with so far in less than two years:
Sheehan: Well, the competitive portion of the season is over if it wasn't already...on Halloween! But of course we have the Snyders to keep us busy during the bye wk. After emails, hush money, DEA raids, congressional interest...what's next? Can't wait to find out It’s true, wtf is next? It’s never about football…who knows

I saw it......it was more ridiculous than Pettibone going 4-12 in 1993.....

Was there an actual viable option that he passed on? - Stafford we got outbid and dont think we had a chance. - Watson? Texans asking price is unreasonably high, lots of baggage - Fitz? Seemed like a lot here liked the move given the alternatives. Cant blame RR for injury, while Fitz is older at 38 hes been healthy enough lately - Darnold? Bridgewater? Wentz? Was tyrod taylor available? - Herbert? We all had a hard on for Chase and Herbert is hindsight thinking and not fair to RR. Plus Haskins was still the anointed one at the time. - Haskins? Should we have kept him? Fitz seemed like the best most sensible option. At this point ... go get Watson for next year? But you have to trade a ton of capital plus sign a red flag to a mega deal ... then hope he fits and works out. Phins reportedly had a deal done but Watson wouldnt settle with the victims out of court and that was one of the Phins requirements. |

I heard on the Sports Junkies last Friday that part of Watson's settlement agreement was that he wanted all the details of what happened to be made public and his accusers wouldn't agree to that so he wouldnt settle with them. I found that very interesting. |

More from Ron
Rivera: "The truth is it gets darkest before it gets brightest. There's a thing I've learned from being around military personnel: It takes 3 to 5 years to change culture. Futility doesn't disappear overnight."

Re: Do you think Rivera will successfully rebuild ?
Lol, spare me. This is not the military it's the NFL. 3 years is the absolute max excuse making, 4 and 5 years is laughable.

Re: Do you think Rivera will successfully rebuild ?
Yeah being a former service member I find this a bit of a stretch... The NFL or football in general is not the military lol.. It's a game, I get that he's trying to show gratitude but it's not the same... Also the culture in the military is pretty solid, we all think the shit sucks lol

Re: Do you think Rivera will successfully rebuild ?
I believe Rivera will be gone after next year, at the latest. If not at the end of this year. He is not a winning coach. He is a stop gap only. Rivera was the choice for Snyder because Rivera is respected in the NFL and Snyder needed to create an image of change until Snyder's NFL troubles go away.

I don't think Ron will be fired this year but if they suck ass again in 2022 he will be out.
