I edited my comment because upon watching again it is clear to me he was trying to get out of the way of the returner who was behind him. He was absolutely running down the field to help but was ahead of the play. Watch it again. |

Re: Chase young discussion
Chase is a local kid I think. He definitely hates the Cowboys - check out his twitter feed. Love that.

Re: Chase young discussion
I realize that the Bengals will take a QB but can they be enticed to give up their #1 for a bunch of picks and a QB later on in a draft filled with excellent QB's?.
If Chase Young is not there do the Skins take a QB ? Detroit won't, ..........what would it take for the Giants to trade with the Bengals?

Re: Chase young discussion
I’d hate to squash the spirit of discussion in this thread, but this is not a complicated decision, and we shouldn’t try to make it one.
Chase is the highest graded college pass rusher PFF has ever graded. Better than Von Miller and Myles Garrett. And Joe Burrow is the highest graded college QB they’ve graded. If the Bengals take Burrow, then we take Chase and it’s not even a thought. Who cares about his measurables at the combine, just watch the tape. And in the extremely remote chance that somebody trades up to #1 and takes Chase, then we take Joe Burrow or take the trade down if offered. His grades crush those of Haskins, I’d personally take the upgrade at the most important position. There aren’t a lot of crazy scenarios to think through here. This is a draft where the top two players are heads and shoulders above the others, and we have the second pick. Don’t overthink it and just take the one that’s there, and watch them transform your franchise accordingly.

Re: Chase young discussion
If the Bengals don't take Burrow, they might as well pack up their franchise and move it to Saskatchewan or someplace like it. That's how much they need him. But I doubt that even the Bengals can screw up this #1 pick. For them, it must be Burrow.

Re: Chase young discussion
I would listen to offers about trading down. As great a player as Young is, I personally think the kid from Iowa is almost as good. He is a powerful ass wrecking ball but doesn't get the hype cause he plays for Iowa. If someone offers the ranch and I could get Epenesa and lets say another 1st rounder where I could get a o-linemen I'm listening.

Re: Chase young discussion
Chase young if he is there...if Cincy would take him I’d hold that pick for ransom for burrow. You could get an rg3 type deal for burrow.
