The "safe" move was keeping Gruden. If Smith has the talent, work ethic, and that prodigy vibe, go for it, be aggressive. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

Re: All I want for Christmas is a nsw Front Office
I Second, third, fourth, and fifth the sentiment of Kyle Smith getting promoted. He needs to be general manager, and he needs to be a true GM with real GM powers. We need young blood in Washington, from the front office, to the coaching staff, to the players on the field. A youth movement that is innovative and ready to truly change the culture of this franchise. Nobody living off of a big last name. No big splash hires. Just football guys who are aggressive and will grow into their positions with the team. And finally, I want to see a front office who is able to pick and grow their own talent, and then reward that talent by committing to them and keeping that talent - especially when we know that talent has a bright future in the NFL.
Snyder has to realize he's losing this team and its fans by putting out a horrible product. It's one thing if this team is very young and learning the ropes. It's another when we realize this version of the Redskins was built to be mediocre.

Eric Schaeffer for Team President, Joe Douglas for GM (currently Eagles VP of Player Personnel), John DeFilippo for Head Coach (currently Vikings offensive coordinator, previously QB coach of the Eagles)

Re: All I want for Christmas is a nsw Front Office
I haven't really thought much about Joe Douglas. That's an interesting call. I'm thinking the Eagles probably don't want to have much disruption in their front office, but then again, if a VP of Player Personnel has an opportunity to get a GM job, they may be willing to make the jump. Just don't know if a divisional rival would be willing to let a member of their front office go to someone within the division, especially if that front office member is a very valuable piece.

Re: All I want for Christmas is a nsw Front Office
I want Doug Williams and Eric Shaffer running the front office...there's mention of Kyle Smith....he has been in charge of College personnel for ten years...and there's talk of promoting him to GM...I don't want anyone in that front office that's been there for 10 years....so Smith should be terminated along with that idiot Allen..

Re: All I want for Christmas is a nsw Front Office
Murphy handed McCarthy his pink slip right after the game against Arizona. This is obviously a systemic failure from the top. I have zero confidence that Dan can hire a competent GM and coach. There is a failure to develop the teams identity from year to year and fans and media are constantly left speculating as to what the teams expectations are.
