Re: Nick Rose
He only made 66% of his kicks in college? That sucks! What other competition did we bring in? That’s the best we could do? Fuck

Re: Nick Rose
Well, if he can be accurate within 45 yards out and keep kicking the ball in the end zone on kick offs, then that's hopefully enough to get us through the rest of the season. Who knows? Maybe he turns out to be a stud.

Re: Nick Rose
Maybe I'm wrong, but isn't 71% for field goal kickers not bad? How many of those were super long kicks?

Re: Nick Rose
I don't really care for the stats.
Kickers are odd creatures, no telling what they are going to do. Look at Roberto Aguayo, best kicker in college but couldn't make it in the NFL. He might get his head straight and turn out to be a good kicker down the road but right now he can't kick. This Spicoli kid has the leg, hopefully he's got his shit together now. |

Re: Nick Rose
Best case scenario Gruden decides we can't trust Rose and decides we have to go for touchdowns. He has used hopkins as a crutch for too long.

Re: Nick Rose
The team announced Monday that they have claimed Nick Rose off of waivers and waived Travis Coons. Rose was dropped by the Redskins when they activated Dustin Hopkins from injured reserve.
Rose made 10-of-11 field goals and 18-of-20 extra points in eight games for Washington this season. Chargers claim Nick Rose, waive Travis Coons – ProFootballTalk I liked Nick. Seemed like he had a live leg. Would trust him to hit a 50+ vs Hopkins ... but no biggie.
