Re: Bittersweet post game thread.
Few plays from 4-0, a few plays from 3-1. Gotta settle for 2-2. Win our next 2 and we're at least tied for 1st.

The boys left it all on the pitch but unfortunately that late drop in the end zone was one to many errors to overcome in addition to the injuries.

Re: Bittersweet post game thread.
Chiefs don't lose at home often, they probably have the truest home field advantage in the NFL. I think they have lost like two games a year at home over the past few years...Skins played good, and should have won.
Negatives: Defensive penalties leading to extended drives and points, not containing Alex Smith, and not finding a way to get a turnover, are what lost the game. Turn any of those negatives into a positive and it's a W. |

Re: Bittersweet post game thread.
Crowder has been absolutely invisible this year. I miss D-Jax and Garcon. There was another missed opportunity tonight where KC had someone down the right side who beat the coverage but couldn't get to the ball. D-Jax it was a sure TD. I still am having a tough time with the fact that we gave up both of them. Read somewhere we are the first team ever to give up two 1000 yard wr's in the same off season. Thst is a whole lotta yards.

Cousins had some nice passes and runs but this was an up and down game for him. Missed some throws.

Re: Bittersweet post game thread.
Every Qb during a course of a game is going to miss some. Again KC gave the team a chance to win and the D allows KC to get in FG range within seconds.

Re: Bittersweet post game thread.
Defense needs to cut down on the big plays. Take away last week, its been at least 1 a week and this one came at worse possible time. Biggest issue is letting qb outside of pocket. We're not sticking with guys when the QB breaks contain. We should have had a 2nd chance in overtime. Frustrating how easy they got down the field.

SIAP.... terrible timeout by Gruden with 55 (?) seconds. You either score a TD and win, or make a FG snd go to OT.

Re: Bittersweet post game thread.
On the final big play to get them in range, here was no reason for Spaight to leave Albert Wilson. The second he stepped up Wilson was wide open.

Re: Bittersweet post game thread.
A lot to be angry about.
It should have been a fireable offense for Bruce Allen to not find quality replacements for Garcon and DJax. I know Pryor had a lucky touchdown (Watch the replay he nearly drops it and falls over his own feet), but he is garbage. Doctson is a total waste here - all he does is milk injuries, steal money, and repeatedly disappoint. Bashaud Breeland sucks - he has been disgraceful for the past two seasons and still has kept his job.

Re: Bittersweet post game thread.
First off KC is arguable the best team in the NFL right now. We played them at their house, a historically hard place to win. I think we held our own considering myself included had this team going 0-4 to start the season after the Philly game. We have lost to Philly and KC and have beaten LAR and OAK. All 4 of those teams seem fairly legit this season, especially their offenses.
Last night once Norman went down it was going be hard for us to win this game. That had to have thrown Greg's plan into a tail spin. Offense needed to step even more so, they did not. I will agree at least in the beginning here the gamble with PG/Djax is starting to bite this team in the foot. Still plenty of games to go, at 2 and 2 we are right in the mix with the NFC East. HTTR!
