Re: New CDs out this week

I can't believe someone wants Chris Cornell dead, he's one of the best singers of the modern era, Soundgarden rocked and so does Audioslave. Maybe if Zack would have gotten off his butt and toured more Rage would still be together.

Does anybody have the new Queens of the Stone Age cd and is it better, worse, or the same as the first cd?
And how about that new Limp Bizkit cd
If you liked the last Queens album you'll like the new one too. It's not quite as good as the last one, but it's still pretty good.

Re: New CDs out this week

Cornell is trash.Tries to overvocalize everything and is too whiny. His songs have no purpose. Guess that's the same reason I hate DMB.

I mute CMT and watch it, so in a way I'm a country fan. =p

I'm not a big DMB fan but I'll listen to them. My wife loves the band so I got her tickets to go see them at Saratoga on July 2nd for her B-day. It's a good thing I don't despise them like I do country music. Chris Cornell is one of the greatest vocalists of all time. I just wish Soundgarden would get back together. Badmotorfinger was (and still is) awesome.

Re: New CDs out this week

I gotta jump in on this. I never thought I'd say this, but Daseal is 100% right. Chris Cornell was awesome when he was with Soundgarden, I'll say that much. Pretty Noose, Burden In My Hand, Jesus Christ Pose, and Black Hole Sun all had awesome, gritty vocals. But man, he just DOES NOT belong with the Rage guys. It just sounds like oil and water to me, doesn't work.

Plus, did you hear that solo album Cornell put out before getting with Audioslave? It was like I was listening to a Tori Amos CD, with Cornell trying to sing like her. It was horrible and girly. He carried that whiny nature with him to Audioslave.

What happened to you, China? You used to be cool.

RATM RIP
