I havent seen anything to give truth to this rumor, but thats very intriguing. We would get an elite wide receiver, and elite end, and a second round pick to get a corner, which are very deep in this draft. I acutally like that idea, IF we get a second. Well, even if we didtn get a second, jason taylor is a stud.

I'm hoping for a good Wide Receiver and Cornerback out of this draft. I'm also eager to see what happens with Rod Gardner...never know what we might get out of him....

No! Bobby Beatherd drafted the QB's not Gibbs, so far Gibbs has shown no eye for talent when it comes to aquiring a QB, and if he drafts Campbell it will continue. |

JDlea, you moving to New Orleans and maybe looking for a new team? Dont do either one. I live in New Orleans and the Saints might not be here in a few years. I have lived here most of my life and have been a Skins fan for 30 yrs it WILL work out better than the Saints lol.

Whoa. I get on after work and this is what happens.
I'm a Redskins fan whether they never win another game again. My future generations will ALSO be brainwashed into thinking the same way. I wish the draft would hurry and happen so that HOPEFULLY we can be like, "Whew, I was afraid something crazy was going to happen."

Re: Forget Ramsey for a minute...My last days as a Redskins fan?
BTW, Campbell scored a 16 on the wonderlic test (IQ) well below what the average QB scores. I remember a mobile, strong armed kid we drafted named Shuler who also tanked his IQ test. Maybe it takes a bit of smarts to be a QB in the NFL.
Wouldn't mind seeing Alex Smith slide down. A kid with a strong arm, accuracy, mobility, a 3.76 in Economics and graduated in 2 years.... I can dream |

TAFKAS:
Indeed the Wonderlic is not the total answer to QB-prowess, But Akili Smith also scored somewhere in the mid-teens and he never seemed to "get it" with regard to what a QB needs to do in the NFL. You need brains and brawn to do that job and if you are really dumb, you damned well have some outlandish physical skills to compensate for that - - a la Marino.

All I'm saying is there are many factors that lead to a QB's success in the NFL (smarts, skills, surrounding talent, luck), not just one

Re: Forget Ramsey for a minute...My last days as a Redskins fan?
I am a diehard Redskins fan. I was Dexter Manley for Halloween when I was 5, I live for training camp every summer, I have got in several fights at parties with Eagles fans over shit they have said about our team, and I am probably going to fail a bio test because of the draft, but it is getting hard to deal with this shit every year. I appricate everything Gibbs is trying to do, but if the team continues to have devistating offseasons he is going to be gone soon too. I just cannot understand what is going through the heads of the front office. I won't change teams anytime soon, but if things keep going like this I could see why people would.

We should also keep in mind that there are a lot of smokescreens at this time of year and we shouldn't just believe every rumor we read as gospel

Re: Forget Ramsey for a minute...My last days as a Redskins fan?
I agree there are a lot of smoke screen at this time of the year, but when you hear that the 49ers have been talking to different teams about trading down, iwith the team most interested being the redskins.. U HAVE TO ASK WHAT IS THE FO SMOKING!!! C'mon guys we need a couple of playmakers not ONE!!
This is the most exasperated I have been. I respect Gibbs a lot, but I see the team disintegrating a little bit and spiralling out of control.. I hope some sanity is restored once the season starts!! Quote:
