Ok, I've done some calculating. Doing the math, if we could move up to 15 by trading Gardner and 25 (which might be a stretch because it would normally take a late second rounder to move up that much), we could probably work a deal with the Bears for #4 and #7 in the second round (the points work out to be almost equal). Problem is, there is a very good chance Braylon doesn't make it past #3. It would be virtually impossible to get to #3 and still get a second rounder (especially since the Browns have the #2 pick in the second round). If he's still there at #4 though, I'll be on the edge of my seat.

I was so worried the site would be down and we would never be able to talk about this stuff before the draft. Thank god Matty was able to get this up and running.

I am not sold on trading up for Edwards. He is good but not special. I would be more satisfied if they said they were going after Williams. Honestly I still think we draft a CB at 9 (Rolle) or trade down to mid 1st and pick up another pick and draft a CB there (Rodgers) and take Heath Miller, Roddy White, Mark Clayton, or Matt Roth at 25.

Re: Redskins Moving up?

There hasn't been a lot of hype around Miller these days. If he slips and we somehow acquire a 2nd round pick, it could be possibly to pick him up.

and he got a 14 on the wonderlic test (that's really bad for a QB).
Isn't that about the same that Marino/Montana got? Wonderlic test doesn't mean anything. They give it to these guys after a full day of workouts and most of them don't care about it that much. Last year there was a list of wonderlic tests and who scored what, Ill have to look for it when I get home from class! Basicly some of the best players scored low.

AMEN.

As far as Rolle - I think he's gonna slip. He's way overrated. I'd take PacMan and Rogers before him. He has an ST attitude without the natural gifts! PacMan said he WANTED to be a Redskin. If we blow the 9th pick on a CB - it should be him!

Re: Redskins Moving up?

Yeah, I really want Pacman if no good WR is available.

Re: Redskins Moving up?

I also like Merriman's attitude. I saw him on NFL Network and he looks like someone who would be a good team guy and he's such a BEAST.

I don;t agree with Rolle being overrated. If anyone is overrated its PacMan. Pac Man is fast but he is not smart. Rolle doesn't make nearly the amount of mistakes PacMan does. Look at the competition faced by Rolle and Rodgers and compare it to what Pac Man was up against at UWV. Rolle and Rodgers clearly held up better against better passing teams and proved to be leaders for their team. Pac Man's team finished 7-4 against a weeker schedule and began the year as a preseason top 5 team.

Re: Redskins Moving up?

I wouldn't want Rolle for the fact he's from the "U" alone. I don't want to have a Miami reunion every summer when they should be practicing with the team.

Now that I think about it, I wouldn't be against drafting Miller now. But I doubt we will.

Yeah, if he's there at #25 or second round (if we get one).

Re: Redskins Moving up?

Well, Malcolm - eventually they'd just move the workouts to DC! Portis, Barrow, Taylor, Reed, Moss, Lewis, more? all play around here!

Rolle has an attitude problem. He thinks he a ST without the talent. Why do you say pacman is stupid? Basing it on a wonderlic tests? They're totally useless. Pacman is a faster more physical version of smoot. I do like Rodgers a lot, but Rolle is definitely the 3rd CB in my book.

Also, referring to Campbell, how is 8 losses in your entire college career mediocre?

Re: Redskins Moving up?

Hahaha... Yeah, I definitely agree on Rolle. I heard him talking about himself on NFL Network. He's ALREADY talking in 3rd person.

Re: Redskins Moving up?

Pac-Man is considered the best man to man cover corner. Rolle is better at zone coverage and zone blitzing.
