IDK.. I believe in a team effort, and I think Haslett did a good job on adjusting in the second half... Big mismatch was Mathews and Riley in the first half, and they fixed that with man coverage across the board, but then Merriweather got abused a few times. We just couldn't match the speed Philly has and we didn't force enough turnovers.

Offense got the ball back on 3 straight drives and didn't produce any points. Just can't beat teams top offense teams like that.

Re: Skins vs. Eagles Post-Game

Good:
Offense was mostly capable
OL looked better
Defense still not as bad as last year

Bad:
Special teams lost us the game

Other:
It's hard to call out Kerrigan because he wasn't bad and has had a good start. But Philly played a third team guy in front of him. Kerrigan should have DOMINATED. He was good but not dominant.

Re: Skins vs. Eagles Post-Game

Positives:

Captain Kirk: I think we did enough on offense to win this game. Last drive notwithstanding he looked good most of the day.

D.Jax: way to gut it out, and thanks for the bomb that managed to restore hope for a game that looked like it was going down the drain.

Run defense: Not sure if this was a case of "they're not running because it's so easy passing the ball" or if it's "man they did a really good job of stopping the run" but either way their run game was nonexistant.

I'm sure there's some more silver linings in here somewhere, but they're hard to find for me at the moment.

Negatives:

Defense: I will give credit to the Eagles, 3 games against the Chip Kelly era has shown they are not going to be an easy game as long as they have the Kelly/Foles combo working. But the Eagles looked they were toying with us when they had the ball for most of the game.

Special teams: We had one good special teams day last week against the Jags, how about putting together 2 games in a row now? No need to give extra touchdowns to a team that can score super quick on offense. I'll give a pass to Forbath's shank since his groin is probably still injured, but that field goal definitely would've come in handy late in the game. And shoutout to Haslett for letting Riley get burned for a 2nd td after he looked clueless on Matthews' first td.

Penalties: Can't tell if we are really that undisciplined or if the league is determined to make the players take the refs seriously. Either way I'm growing tired of seeing flags after every play.

Pass rush: I know Foles gets the ball out quick but the Eagles practically put out a backup offensive line and we didn't get a single sack, a week after collecting 10 sacks? C'mon man.

Closing statement: I think the one game against the Jags is starting to look like an anomaly on defense, but I do think our defense is better than last year's. With each game I watch Cousins play, I think he's got some work to do but for the most part he looks like a capable backup. And idk what they need to do to fix the special teams but giving up easy return touchdowns has to stop.

The injuries are a huge cause for concern during a short week. Too many and too severe in the case of DHall.

Here is a question: Why does Santana Moss have a roster spot??

lol I said that at the beginning of the game. It must suck to be brought back to a team just to be inactive every week.

I am just really tired of watching this team be just good enough to lose, all the time. How can special teams be this bad, how do you get 130 yards of penalties?

I'm hoping it will come in handy with the way these injuries are going. It seems like every game we're losing a couple starters.

Thursday night games suck and for exactly this reason.

Positives: Kirk played great a long with garçon and d jax. Kudos to the Oline in pass protection.

Dline, lb and safeties came up and did a great job of stopping the run.

We have a good punter.

Negative: Its obvious we haven't put the bad times of special teams behind us. I would invest a roster spot to a kickoff artist. Philly had great field position on most kick offs.

Hatcher and coefield really hurt us in our pass rush game. It could/should have been better.

Sometimes gruden gives up on the run game. I'd wish it was a little more dynamic.

Had some crappy drops (Paul, Roberts and garçon) that killed drives.

Brandin merriwether effed up on the kick return for the td. He looked to have left his gap which opened the initial hole. Merriwether then got caught peaking into the backfield only to get beat for the macklin td. Poor play

One more thing, chris baker I kow your fat, but damn it u let me down. One of my favorite plays in the game is when fat guys get ints. Dude u had an interception hit u in your hands. U gotta wrap that up

Another negative... Perry Riley. Dude I thought it was London Fletcher back there again. The man can't play coverage and honestly, probably shouldn't be anyway. The dude stinks at it. There was no way we could get an extra DB or a safety to cover instead? Those two Matthews TDs were on Perry.

Tbh, when an OC gets a MLB on a WR in coverage, the OC beat the DC. No MLB is covering a WR with much success.

Sucks to lose one like that, but I'm not even that upset. They went toe to toe with a good team on the road. Fun game to watch. We've got reasons to keep our heads up.

This. Idk too many middle linebackers good enough to hang with wideouts in the slot. I put those two touchdowns on Haslett, you have to put your guys in position to succeed. Especially on the second, he already got burned once while looking clueless, you should've known they would try that again.
