Re: Pick 66 Morgan Moses
Tremendous pick. Can't coach size, but you can coach his shortcomings. Finally, we have a shot at threatening the right side of the defense with Morris, rather than just having to rely on Trent on the left.

Re: Pick 66 Morgan Moses
Thank the heavens!! We didn't need more LB's, we need to beef up the line. Anything is better than we've had the last 5 years.

Re: Pick 66 Morgan Moses
Note the giant 2 is an indication of the pick number for the round, not the round itself.

Re: Pick 66 Morgan Moses
We had to get a good prospect for the OL. Love the brass balls approach to this pick. Could have taken him in the 2nd let him drop and got him and the best pass rusher with our 2nd.

Re: Pick 66 Morgan Moses
So yeah this was pretty much me right after the Moses pick.
Either way I'm happy not only that we have depth at Tackle but God forbid if Trent misses any games going forward we'll have a guy in Moses that has a good chance to hold down the fort. Polumbus is not as bad as we're making him out to be, and he certainly still has a decent chance to win the starting RT job in the short term but now at least if we start Polumbus it will hopefully be because he earned the job, rather then we really didn't have anyone else. Also let us not forgot Tom 'straight outta' Compton who actually hails from South Dakota....and Minnesota....damn Canadians, but yeah at least now we're not crossing our fingers on Polumbus getting better or Compton developing.

Re: Pick 66 Morgan Moses
Crystal Ball Week 1:
Clowney: Hey Morgan man you want to take this play off Moses: Sure, I mean we're to talented to have try hard every play. Going 100% is for guys who can cut at a moments notice Clowney: Oh hey did you see my guy yet? Moses: Yeah, I really like how he was able to trim my beard just the right amount. That really was an excellent day spa. Meanwhile on the other side of the ball... Watt: SILVERBACK I WILL DESTROY YOU! BE READY FOR A HEALTHY DOES OF PAIN ALL DAY Williams: FOOL My blocking has improved 10 fold since last year. My insane conditioning program has made me even stronger Watt: Oh yeah WELL BRING IT Williams: ALL DAY dIVID3 BAI 0 Apparently American football isn't much different from Japanese anime.

Re: Pick 66 Morgan Moses
^LOL.^
I can't sleep, so the WP is going to have me lurking around for a while, sharing opinions that no one is around to rebut or mock. Yes! Love this pick of Morgan Moses. Kudos to the FO for getting this guy in the 3rd in the fashion they did. Initially, when we were on the board at #34 with Moses still available, I thought that this was an easy pick to make. Phhhht, shows how much I know. Our FO was able to trade back, get a great, high-motor pass rusher, and then still get Moses in the 3rd when I thought he should have been taken with our top-of-the-round 2nd rounder. When a layman like me looks on, it's brilliant. Cheers! |

The FO scared me with this move but it worked out and all is well. I believe that Moses will work hard to improve his technique. Then we'll have those bookend tackles we all crave. Plus, we got a guard with our second third-round pick! Three picks: three big, tough guys to play in the trenches. Who are these masked men in our draft room?

Re: Pick 66 Morgan Moses
I was asking myself the same thing.
BAck on topic, I love getting 3 supposedly good guys split between both lines. With our FA pickups and these picks, our line should be much improved. If murphy can contribute to our rush, the defense should see a good jump too. Here's to hope!

Re: Pick 66 Morgan Moses
The only player that has a chance to start this year.
I like the pick. you aren't going to get elite talent in the early 3rd round. He is so big I don't care if he is stiff as long as he knows how to get his hands on guys. You are not going to bullrush this guy. should create a nice pocket for RG3. |

Re: Pick 66 Morgan Moses
Actual footage of me. Its true that I felt the Moses pick was indeed awesome possim.
In all seriousness though I don't know what the name for the concept is but for some reason since he fell to the 3rd round I don't feel as good about Moses as I would have felt had we picked him up in the second. It almost feels like a higher profile version of Selvish Capers who was projected as a 3rd round pick but fell to us in the 7th round. It really is completely unfair and I hate when people bring up "x happened for a reason" but unfortunately I'm now asking myself what was the reason? Is his work ethic that bad or maybe occasional waist bending and lunging is predictive of problems to come at the next level?
