Where did you get that assumption? I'm not one of the guys freeloading and stealing from the state. My co-workers like me quite well. They know I get shit done and it'll get done the right way when I do it. Do you make these things up as you go? Sounds like it.

Back on topic. Why do you support the system so much if it's ran by people you detest. Do you not see the irony in it?

No company is too big to jail, Holder says of Justice Department probes - The Washington Post

No company or individual is too big to jail, Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. said Monday as the Justice Department prepares criminal charges against two of Europe’s largest banks.
In a video message posted on the Justice Department’s Web site, Holder said that “when laws indeed appear to have been broken, and the evidence supports the allegations, a company’s size will never be a shield from prosecution or penalty.”

Re: Wall Street Crime .

holder is the one that sent out the memo saying that white collar crimes should be policed with fines because those people "aren't the right type" for jail.

so... not holding my breath.

Re: Wall Street Crime .

We live in such times that 'affluenza' is now a judicially recognized reason NOT to be sent to jail. The system is broken.

Holder is a whore.

Since when does pointing out someone else's misdeeds point to self-guilt?

Now, criticizing snitches and whistleblowers, that does point to possible misdeeds (past or present), on the part of the speaker.

"The Untouchables"

Video: The Untouchables | Watch FRONTLINE Online | PBS Video

I suggest people watch it. Answers the question of why Wall Street's leaders have escaped prosecution for any fraud related to the sale of bad mortgages.

Feds Ever-So-Gently File Criminal Charges Against Credit Suisse

The U.S. government has finally backed up its boast that no bank is too big to jail, if by "jail" you mean "vigorously slap on the wrist."
The Justice Department on Monday filed criminal charges accusing Swiss banking giant Credit Suisse of conspiring to help U.S. customers dodge taxes. The bank pleaded guilty to the charges, breaking from a recent tradition of letting banks defer prosecution. Credit Suisse also agreed to pay about $2.6 billion to settle the claims brought by the Justice Department, the Federal Reserve and New York State.
"This case shows that no financial institution, no matter its size or global reach, is above the law," Attorney General Eric Holder said in a press release announcing the settlement.

It's not what I wanted but ,baby steps .

Judge Orders Bank of America to Pay $1.27 Billion in 'Hustle' Case - WSJ

Reverberations of the ruling could be felt widely. Bank of America, Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and other banks are weighing potential settlements with the Justice Department or U.S. housing regulators on a variety of mortgage matters that still are lingering more than five years after the financiaJudge Rakoff's decision could, in particular, complicate Bank of America's negotiations with the Justice Department in a separate, larger case over mortgage securities the bank sold to investors in the run-up to the financial crisis. The bank met with the Justice Department on Tuesday and Wednesday as part of that negotiation, according to people familiar with the matter, and raised its offer for what it is willing to pay.
The $1 million fine for Ms. Mairone could stand as a rare example of a Wall Street official having to pay a fine out of his or her own pocket for conduct related to the financial crisis. The judge issued guidelines for how the fine should be paid from her own income. A Bank of America spokesman declined to comment on whether the bank would assist Ms. Mairone in that effort.

Re: Wall Street Crime .

when you consider how much money they make a quarter, free is an issue of semantics :\

i'd rather them start putting people in jail. take away their time. that's something they can't get by by raising interest rates or pushing shady mortgages.
