Re: Mid Season Report: NFL
You know, I think I'll go with Trestman over Reid for COY at this point. Not that there's a wrong answer. But as someone particularly familiar with the Bears offensive struggles predating the NFL, this time it feels different.
MVP: Manning. Rivers has a darn good case though. Biggest disappointment: Washington. You could make a case for the Giants or Texans, but the Redskins are a bigger disappointment. Best Surprise: Kansas City. Best Surprise, non-Kansas City division: Probably New Orleans? This is difficult. Indianapolis is way beyond where you would expect them to be and they're doing it with Andrew Luck playing good, not great football.

It just sucks reading about crappy safety play year in and year out. I dont agree with Wilson as solid. WR to me is a huge need this off season, area with the most work. Love Fletch, but he needs replacing. Needs offseason rankings: 1. Proven FS 2. ILB 3. Slot WR 4. Interior Oline addition 5. CB 6. PR/KR 7. Depth WR and CB

I dont think you put the Skins as biggest disappointment based on the fact RG3 injury and missing preseason. Just cant imo. Atlanta, Texans or Baltimore seem like the top tier disappointments. No surprises with Saints or Indy for me. I worry about KC playing a game away from home in the playoffs.

Atlanta isn't a good team, but they also didn't have the upside that Washington did going into the year, nor have they played spectacularly bad football. They're a garden variety disappointment. Baltimore is disappointing if you considered them a super bowl favorite, but right from opening day it was pretty clear they were not that. They've also been worse than reasonable expectation, but the Redskins have been the single biggest disappointment in football. The surprise with New Orleans and Indy wasn't that they came out of nowhere (like Kansas City), rather that they were known mediocre commodities who made defensive jumps in 2013 that they could have made at any other time, but never did. And I'm not sure how to identify that in a preseason prediction. If you had asked me to go with the worst two defenses in football before the season, I might have said the Saints and the Colts (or Chargers). Actually, the Chargers have been a surprise too, but they don't have a ton of wins to show for it. I may have forgotten the Titans. I thought that team would be terrible. They're...okay.

Man, listening to Fred Smoot on ESPN First Take makes me shake my head. He's an idiot.
Let RG3 make his money. This is a business.

Mid Season Report: NFL
Biggest disappointement: Falcons and it aint even close.
Biggest surprise: Jets. They were pegged by everyone to be thee worst team in football. MVP: Peyton Manning. ROY: Zac Stacy. Dude is awesome. Coach of the year : Fat Andy Also honerable mention to the Jaguars who are on their way to becoming thee worst team in nfl history. They will lose everygame by 14 points or more. |

Don't think it's Denver's year tho. NFC wins back the Lombardi unless Reid gets more out of the KC offense in which case he finally gets the big one. That team has legit talent and leadership among players and coaches.
