In regards to Winfield;
1) did the Seahawks officially release him? Last I heard they put him on the reserve/retired list, which means they still have him under contract should he return to the NFL. 2) He says he wants to play for a contender, why would he play for us?

Well, sure maybe he can improve our defense, but the problem is, unless our defense gets 4 Winfields, our secondary is going to suck and our defense as a whole still can't tackle. Getting Winfield would be a minor upgrade, a 32nd ranked defense to a 29th ranked kind of upgrade at best; decent but still not good enough.
