He's going to do something called Cooley's Corner at the top of each quarter

Re: Chris Cooley retires, will join Redskins' radio team
Glad he made it official so we know and so he can move onto a successful post-playing days career.
One of my favorite Skins of all time. I'm glad he finished his career without suiting up for anyone else.

Re: Chris Cooley retires, will join Redskins' radio team
Regardless of his personal life, he's still one of my favorite Redskins, so I'm happy knowing he'll be adding a fresh perspective to the radio, even though I never listen to the radio.

Re: Chris Cooley retires, will join Redskins' radio team
Cooley is just always going to be a Skins' fan favorite. He consistently returned the love he got from the fans. I wouldn't be surprised if he becomes the "voice of the Skins" in the next few years.

Re: Chris Cooley retires, will join Redskins' radio team
Joe- that would be awesome. Larry just doesn't have that great voice for calling the home run plays. Cooley I imagine would be awesome in that role.

SS- I would imagine that CC would make a heck of a color commentator one day if he can work on his craft.
He has that personality that would generate some funny stuff.

I think Larry does a great job on play-by-play. Cooley would make a good sidekick to do the color alongside Larry. I respect Huff and the now-retired Sonny J., but they are not very exciting to listen to on the radio. I think a young, fan favorite like Cooley would really do wonders for the broadcasts.

Re: Chris Cooley retires, will join Redskins' radio team
I dunno, could he really be worse than Huff these last few years? From what I have seen he is pretty rough around the edges right now. Given that and his apparent party ethic, I can see how he may never be professional enough to do more than part-time features on local radio.
If he could pull it together enough, however, he would undoubtedly be a fan favorite and probably provide at least a short term ratings bump.

Re: Chris Cooley retires, will join Redskins' radio team
I remember when I would turn down the TV to listen to Sam, Sonny and Herzog. I haven't done that for a while.
BTW - I got no qualms w/ Larry Michael on game day. It's just everywhere else that I find him annoying.
