Re: Opportunity for McCants?
I'm not even sold on needing to draft a WR in the first round anymore. While nobody in the trio of Moss/Patten/Jacobs (who I believe to be our 3 best WR's) or James Thrash has ideal size, I think adding another WR to the mix is just going to makes things too crowded. I think that 9 pick could be used better on a Guard or even a pass rushing DE. Edwards/Williams are both going to be gone by 9 anyways, and I don't see another WR worthy of the 9 pick.

Welcome to the board, and I agree completely. Wide receiver as a draft priority just took a hit, and even the fourth wideout in this offense didn't see much action. A rookie-fifth wideout will be lucky to have a spot on the team bus. |

They may decide to just let McCants go to give him the opportunity to play more somewhere else, instead of being inactive for just about every game. I could see them drafting a WR, but in a later round to groom for a couple years from now. |
