Rex Ryan of New York Jets to stick with Mark Sanchez at starting QB vs. Jacksonville Jaguars - ESPN New York

Glutton for punishment I see.

With his salary and guaranteed money (8.5 mil) next year, they have no choice but to stay with him at QB. Not unless they want a 8 million dollar back up QB. Not sure which GM was a bigger idiot. Hurney or Tannebum.

Sanchez isn't a great player by any means and he looks like a total bust but for this season, he has literally no talent around him at all.

If we (by we, I of course mean Mark Sanchez and my JETS!!!!!!) can't beat the Jaguars on the road, with relative ease, than...maybe it's time to put away my Freeman McNeil jersey

If it wasn't for the debacle in Seattle the redskins would be the 6th seed right now

Funny they benched Sanchez for McElroy when T-Bow was inactive and it was the first time McElroy was active. Was this the first time Sanchez needed benching??? I think not, whats the thinking here i just dont get the M-E-S-S! MESS!! MESS!! MESS!!

Sanchez came out and lit it up for two yrs and if I'm not mistaken helped his team get to the playoffs both times.

I think part of their problems center around injuries at key positions and the biggie being that Schottenheimer is no longer there. I'm not saying Sparano is no good, I just think Sanchez was the right QB for Schottenheimer's system and possibly not right for Sparano's.

Lit it up?

Mark Sanchez Stats - New York Jets - ESPN

I think it comes down to him just not being starter material in this league. At least not the kind of starter that can put the team on his back. He needs a strong running game and defense.

This is where the Jets GM f'ed things up royally. They let some talent go without getting good players in return. Sanchez is at best a game manager and I don't think the Jets GM realized that.
