They're not exactly lighting it up with those draft picks either. I mean Michael Brockers? I know we're not suppose to judge players based on schools but between being an LSU alum and a 1st round DT I don't think he's going to make it. Janoris Jenkins on the other hand could end up being a hell of a steal but right now he's also quite the risk.

Still the pick of Brian Quick was puzzling to say the least considering the fact that the Rams have had possibly the worst receiving corps since they drafted Bradford.

Jags will surprise this year. I mean sure they might be a mediocre surprise but Gabbert seems to be coming along nicely. Then again their GM Gene Smith is like a slightly more sober version of Vinny.

Re: NFL 2013 First Pick

The Jets.

They're the only team in the league that hasn't scored a TD this preseason.

Sanchez is horrible. Tebow's presence won't help Sanchez or the team. I could see a locker-room divide between those who want Sanchez and those who want Tebow.

They have 1 WR worth anything and he's known to complain when things are going badly and has a history of getting himself suspended.

Their RBs are horrible.

They won't have LaRon Landry.

Rex Ryan will lose this team this season. His coaching style and personality is fun for the team when they're winning, but as they're losing, he's going to really grate on the players' nerves.

Yup. I think that not only will the team divide Tebow/Sanchez, it will also divide Offense v. Defense. Let the D put up a few good solid showings and the Offense fail to capitalize and Rex's "poor, poor pitiful" us routine will work to divide the team further. Couldn't happen to a more deserving candidate.

Re: NFL 2013 First Pick

Well, that's not saying too much. Only competition for the slot is Buffalo and they have O-Line issues like ours. At the same time, I just don't see it happening. Yes, they have a strong D but their Offense is offensive.

While I wish them to implode and descend into the black hole of finger-pointing and denial that I usually reserve for Philly, I suspect they will be good enough to finish 3rd in their division. I would expect them to start strong with a gimicky offense, but, as the season progresses, their lack of a real offense allows teams to adapt.

Want to bet a six pack on it SS? I'll pay up if they finish 1st or 2nd, you pay up if they finish 3rd or 4th.

Their passing game has improved a lot and Blackmon is playing very well. He did some damage to the Ravens' first team D in last week's preseason game.

However, they won't amount to anything if they don't get MJD. Their running game was terrible.

Re: NFL 2013 First Pick

^^ I sure as hell hope not!!!

First and 32nd, however, would be okay by me (So long as it wasn't our pick that ended up 1st).
