Re: Raheem Morris Implementing Changes to Secondary
I'd like to see R. Doughty cut from the team. Addition by subtraction!

Re: Raheem Morris Implementing Changes to Secondary
^ what other options do we have for backups? I think Doughty's spot is pretty solid.

Re: Raheem Morris Implementing Changes to Secondary
i'll wait to see it in at least preseason games. everything's always great when you're not actually playing anyone.

Re: Raheem Morris Implementing Changes to Secondary
I guess Morris is suiting up then? The only change needed is that some of our bums become someone else's problem.
Maybe Raheem will be able to "whole is greater than the sum" them up. |

Even some of the ES insider guys have mentioned this the past couple months. Not saying it will happen, but they are obviously interested.

Re: Raheem Morris Implementing Changes to Secondary
Reminds me of an ex-girlfriends pomeranian lol. It looks like the onus is really on Morris to help this group outperform its talent level. I'm encouraged that Hall (I believe) and Barnes are in contract years and Merriweather at least has PB potential. But we still lack talent in the secondary, which means the front 7 must be really dominant to give us a reliable defense ala the Giants.

Re: Raheem Morris Implementing Changes to Secondary
I think we will all be pleasantly surprised with the quality of our secondary play this year. I love all the "competition" brought in, "contract years", a young energetic smack talking DB coach...could be fun to watch this defense if not right away, surely after a few games of playing together. Really, if this defense can put up top 10 production, it could be an exciting year with RG3 at the helm.

Re: Raheem Morris Implementing Changes to Secondary
Well Hall is a bit of a punk on the field but at least he's not a threat to society. Talib appears to be a bad dude all together. Talented guy and I know that every player can't be London Fletcher in terms of charactr.... but c'mon front office! This dude is just straight up trouble.

Re: Raheem Morris Implementing Changes to Secondary
Morris says: "I want the DB's to learn all of the defensive backfield positions."
DHall thinks: "Now I can use my instincts to freelance." Morris says: "We want more turnovers." DHall thinks: "I need to jump more routes." Morris says: "We want hitters in our secondary." DHall thinks: "They brought in some hitters, so now I can concentrate more on going for the strip." |
