For all of those who thought the show sucked, maybe next year they can have Ashley Simpson, Roseanne Barr and Yoko Ono there as a trio doing a medly of songs from the 70s, 80s 90s and 00s as a tribute to the 4 decades of "Super Bowldom".
That wouldn't suck - - much

I thought it was pretty good show, it was something every age could relate to. While I like the risque, it wasn't bad for a laid back show and the presentation was pretty cool.

How so, EEich - are you Paul McCartney? They will never put a super bowl show on that isn't some pop bullshit. The beetles were decent once they started doing hardcore drugs and stopped with that "I want to hold your hand" bullshit that they started of with. They made the transition from Backstreet Boys to Hendrix!
I've NEVER seen a halftime show that was worth watching. At least with music, etc. They try to incorporate too many genres, and get the most generic stars. Give me the bud bowl! |

It's pretty clear to me that, other than agreeing that we love the Skins, there will never be unanimity of opinion when it comes to entertainment or politics on this site. |

I semi understand what all the fuss was about last year but the halftime show was just dull and this coming from a beatles fan. Sure during halftime pretty much anyone I know is getting some more "refreshments" or releaving themselves and the only thing they focus on tv wise during the halftime is the commercials, but it's got to have some life to it. Cuz I mean nothing screams football like a 60+ year old british rock star. There has to be a middle ground found between hip-hop and rap with girls wearing tube tops and butt floss, which seems to be the main thing I've heard people complain about from recent sporting show events, and guys who were made famous 40 years ago. When and what that middle ground will be, I don't have the foggiest idea, just as long as it isn't just country music every single time.

At least the auidence got to participate......And I couldn't hear people boo ala Ashlee Simpson........
BTW did people think the commercials were a tad boring this year? Just because they wanted them clean doesn't mean they have to be boring. Look at some of the ESPN promos they are hilarious without being risque, yet they are still funny....... |

The commercials were definitely on the ho-hum side. After last year nobody wants to F with those commie bastards the FCC.
