Re: Fletcher to HOF?
I just hope he makes it back to the Skins. IMO he is one of the best in the NFL and he could play on any team the Skins have ever had.

Re: Fletcher to HOF?
Fletch is a very good player. But he's not a great player. Not HOF material IMO.

Re: Fletcher to HOF?
He should absolutely make the HOF
1) Numbers very similar to Ray Lewis 2) Won a Superbowl 3) Known as one of the best leaders and locker room guys in the NFL today 4) The story of an un drafted guy from a small college who's "too small" to play in the NFL, which leads to... 4) And the biggest reason is his consecutive games played streak. Playing in 224 games in a row at MLB is absolutely incredible. |

Not to take anything from Ray Lewis, but I think Fletch has never had the same defensive supporting cast that Ray always had in Baltimore. Yet Fletch has managed to have comparable stats.

Re: Fletcher to HOF?
It'll be quite a few years before he makes it, if he ever does. I'll probably be 50 years old by then if he makes it. lol

Re: Fletcher to HOF?
Doesn't matter. A 1 time Pro Bowl alternate will not be in the HOF unless something DRASTICALLY changes. Don't shoot the messenger.

Re: Fletcher to HOF?
sure why not. hes been dominant his whole career he just never had the most talent around him... like a ray lewis. i say Fletch for HOF his career consistency and league leading efforts year after year make him AT LEAST on the ballot.

Re: Fletcher to HOF?
Yes HOF. IMO. Probably the most underrated LB I've seen. Any time you see an athlete able to compete at his level at his age with athletes in their primes is because he really is that great. Not a really good LB - a great LB HOF.

Re: Fletcher to HOF?
The guy leads the league or top 5 in tackles nearly every year in recent memory...
IMO it would be one.of the biggest snubs of all time

Re: Fletcher to HOF?
Also, among active players (all positions) he second in the league in consecutive starts -- and he plays LINEBACKER! Think of all the tackles he made, the blocks he had to shed, the collisions, the players he concussed--there is a lot of contact at that position. Just to last that long, especially at LB is special. He not only lasted, he thriving --the man led the league in tackles last year at age 83! HOF.
