Most of the successful QBs in the NFL that lead their teams to the playoffs year in and year out are former 1st round draft selections. Big Ben, Aaron Rodgers, Joe Flacco, Matt Ryan, and others. The Redskins must do whatever it can to land a QB in the first round and there are no senior QBs that are projected 1st round picks. What it all boils down to is the Redskins and the Rams becoming trade partners, and the Redskins trading away their 1st and possibly their second round picks to move up in exchange for the Rams 1st and maybe 3rd round picks. This is the only way the Redskins are going to draft RG3.
Mat Barkley is dead to me. I hope he flops and falls to a second round and gets sacked 54 times.

Let the guessing game continue.. Is he a current starter? I've got a theory but I don't know if he is a system fit.

That said, I've felt for a while we probably weren't going QB in the top 10 anyway.

I kind of wish it was April already
is he currently on ir for a broken collar bone? i really wonder what he could have done in this system. to me it seems like he could have done the exact same thing rex is doing but with better physical tools, and perhaps a little potential.

what do you think we will do in the draft now? i've always figured if we weren't able to get rg3 or barkley that we might trade back and get a wr. and i actually like kellen moore, not sure if he will cut it in the nfl but the kid's arm is stupid accurate.

We need some good news, though you did say a lot of folks may not be happy with the name.

Just use his initials; like for example:

Peyton Manning

See how I just used his initials.

And then we get him in the second round in 2013?

Can't blame Barkley. Its quiet simple; USC is only for 4 years, the NFL is forever. Also I think Sam Bradford will/has effected many QBs decisions as to whether or not they should come out. He stayed, but was so highly rated and regarded that even after he got injured he was still a top pick. If Barkley plays a game or two next year and tears an ACL I still see him as the number 1 overall pick. I heard Mel Kiper saying he thinks that Logan Thomas will challenge him...don't see that at all.

See how I just used his initials.
Or do a rhyme, like it rhymes with Pat Hassel, for example.

I'm not even sure who you're talking about. Is it Cassell? In that case, no. Not that I've heard of.

As for what we'll do in the draft. I really don't think this changes my opinion much. If RGII and/or Landry Jones decide to stay then it's a different story.

I like Moore a lot but I'd take him late and he wouldn't be the only QB I'd add

Moore plays tonight against my favorite defensive player in the draft, Vontaze Burfict.

also this entire year at usc came with no pay off, usc was dealing with aftermath of reggie this year. usc finished 10-2 losing one game to stanford and beating oregon at the end of the year. they have a legit shot at the national title with what looks to be the top qb and top ol in college football next year.
