Re: Build the Redskins for 2012
sell out for a good QB, draft/sign 3 OL guys, no less. we need a OG, RT, and a 6th starter for injury insurance.
secondary concerns would be a true #1 CB and a #1 WR, though i think our WRs w/ moss are okay if the QB/line weren't awful. another DB (safety or #3 CB) would be nice, as would another DL guy. |

Re: Build the Redskins for 2012
It's a little early for this thread. We don't know who will be FA, we don't know who will announce for the draft, and we don't know where we'll pick.
That said, here goes: 1) Send Beck packing. Re-sign Wrecks to a low-risk contract so that he can be cut as soon as he is done tutoring. Sign best possible FA QB. Sell the house to draft the best possible QB. Pick up another rookie QB in the late rounds or UDFA. 2) draft WR in the second round (if we still have that pick) so we can give our new QB a target 3) draft CB in the third round 4) re-sign F. Davis, Landry, and Hightower 5) restructure or trade Cooley 6) get good young ILB in FA 7) use lower draft picks and FA to build OL depth, RB depth, and depth at every level of the defense

Re: Build the Redskins for 2012
I agree, however I'll add that we really need a bona fide #1 WR. Badly.

Re: Build the Redskins for 2012
Ok like Lotus it's kinda hard but it ALL STARTS with the QB position, I want a Rookie QB to come in and pretty much start day1.. Draft wise I'd say something like...
Round 1. - Robert Griffin III- We won't get Luck no chance and I'd rather have RGIII than Barkley, I don't like USC QB's just the weak arm aspect and no mobility kills me. Palmer was solid but not great... IF RG stays at Baylor which is doubtful, I'd consider Landry Jones (but he's almost certain to stay at OU) or Nick Foles from ARIZONA. Again we need to draft a QB in the 1st round and commit to the guy, give him the help he needs to become a big time QB. Round2. I say we trade back into the first round somehow and grab WR Alshon Jeffery from S.C, big physical possession WR the redskins have missed for YEARS! I'd love Blackmon here but he'll be a top 5 pick IMO. Give our young QB some talent (Bengals for example) Hankerson, Moss and Jeffery and we will be much better off. Later rounds I'd go OL, and DB. .................................................. .................................................. .................. Free Agency priorities.. 1. OL- I actually think our line isn't all that bad considering. I do hope for another G and if Brown leaves of course a RT. 2. DB- Hall isn't leaving folks but we are BAD at CB and need some serious help there. 3. LB- Flecth is getting OLDER by the MIN even though I love the guy but we need some help and Rocky is just losing a step out there. 4. WR- NEED TALENT that is plain and simple 5. RB- TH had a bad injury and Helu is still unproven. ATV is just AVG it's important to get a guy that is a threat. BOLD PREDICTION FOR 2012 FREE AGENCY Skins will sign WR Dwayne Bowe from KC, Just a wild thought.

Re: Build the Redskins for 2012
Blackmon will NOT be a top 5 pick. He's good but not Calvin Johnson.

Re: Build the Redskins for 2012
Also Dez Bryant was a top 10 talent but the Deion fiasco screwed him over And JB is better than Bryant

Re: Build the Redskins for 2012
Yes I do wanna bet. Experts that say that are retarded, Calvin Johnson played in an option run offense. JB is good but better than Calvin coming out? No, hell no. I am not even sure he's better than Dez. Look over the past few years, teams are not using 1st rd picks on WRs like they used to. Why? Because they can be had elsewhere.

Megatron is the best WR in football DGMW But I would take JB in a heartbeat plus he's got a great attitude, Dez did screw himself I agree but still he would have been a top 10 pick prob.

Blackmon is worthy of a top 5 probably... should be taken in the top 10

Listen up and listen good! I'm getting tired of you telling us that Landry Jones is not going to be in this year's draft. Jones is the player I want as our next QB and, since you live in Norman, OK, it is YOUR responsibility to make sure that he is in this year's draft and that the Skins pick him. So drop all of your negativity about Jones staying in school and git -r-done. No excuses! Come to think of it, Justin Blackmon is in Oklahoma. Make sure we get him, too. |

Re: Build the Redskins for 2012
^ Lol man I'd like to think he would enter the draft but "people of knowledge" here in Norman believe he will come back for his senior season. As for Blackmon he's 100% leaving OSU lol but idk about us grabbing him he'll be gone before we pick prob
