The Redskins don't plan to offer a contract extension to Moss, who had a career-high 93 catches this past season.

NFL.com news: Veteran WR Moss' contract with Redskins will void this week
According to JLC, so of course this means the Skins will probably re-sign him

I know I am in the minority on this but I really don't care if he comes back. I can live with it if he gets a 1 year deal, but in general I am done with this group of veteran players we have that have never won anything. Santana can still play but I prefer a complete overhaul of this roster.

Re: Santana's contract to void; will become free agent

We definitely need him. He and Armstrong are a great #1 and 2. We finally used Moss the way he should be last season and he could still be productive a couple of more years, at least one more for sure.

I hope he comes back with a 1-year deal at least, if not 2.

If he leaves, we'll need to draft a WR, which doesn't work out more times than it does...and it takes away from addressing the O-line, a more pressing issue.

Sign him to a 3 year deal w/an option on the 3rd, that would give him some security in the short term & incentive in the long-term. He keeps himself in good shape & was surprisingly durable last year.

I understand why some are wanting him to go but I think finding good wr's who are team players is really hard to do. Sure, they need to draft some wr's in the next couple years, but Moss can still make plays.

Exactly how I feel.........I'm just done with some of these vets. I will always love Moss. Especially because of that Monday night game vs Dallas in 05'...That was truly one of my favorite memories as a Skins fan. Anyway, if he comes back next year fine if not good luck my man. I wouldnt mind Sims-Walker in a Skins uni....

Big shot wins the Warpath playoff pool, and suddenly he thinks he can tell us all how the team should be run...

Re: Santana's contract to void; will become free agent

We definetly need to keep Santana, he has been one of the only positives this team has had for the last few years. Plus if we don't we will have to get two new receivers. I can just imagine the excuses we will start hearing if we don't win a game "well the receivers are new and don't know the routes yet". I would perfer to keep the excuses to a minimum this year please.

Ouch. The truth hurts. I think I like enough of what I see from Armstrong and perhaps Austin but, more talent is needed. For the right contract, bring him back.

Re: Santana's contract to void; will become free agent

The self-proclaimed experts are saying the Raiders would be a possible landing spot for Santana, with Al Saunders and Jason Campbell there. That would be weird to watch.

Santana Moss could make sense in Oakland - AFC West Blog - ESPN

I don't think we can or will let him walk, our WR depth chart would be empty past Armstrong. Are we REALLY that confident in Terrence Austin and Malcolm Kelly? I'm definitely not.

As a Bronco fan.... I would love to see Moss to the Raiders... Simply because that will put the Broncos in a great position for Haynesworth. Denver is very deep at wr amd eddie royal is juat the guy we need to pick up Haynes....
Go Broncos

Good to see our fans aren't the only ones who think of crazy trade scenarios in the offseason!

I said yes, particularly with no "meh" option. But it should be a "reasonable" contract and let him test the market if he wants.

I'd like to see him back but, at what cost? If he does come back it would be good if he got some help, not having to be counted on as a #1.

No we won't. By the time we're good, he's going to be too old. Let the guy go, he deserves to catch on with a winner, not a rebuilding project.
