Re: Can Colt Brennan beat Rex Grossman for number 2 spot

no way we waste a pick on a QB right now...way too many other important needs...CB probably stays on the Roster...but it's silly at thsi point to think he'll ever be a contributing factor to the redskins success.

You overestimate Brennan's abilities, which is probably a by-product of believing that the Zorn/Cerrato pairing made for good talent evaluations.

what on earth makes you think we won't draft a QB? The reality is that you and I have got as much a chance at being the #3 QB on the team as Brennan does.

Truth be told NOONE knows how good CB is because he hasn't played in any serious games since college. He is young enough to still learn. Plus it may be cheaper to keep him and pay some other kid.

Re: Can Colt Brennan beat Rex Grossman for number 2 spot

how the hell would brennan be cheaper? and considering we'd be paying brennan and some late round rookie peanuts - in an uncapped year at that - why the hell would it matter? what in this entire offseason has made you think wed care at all about how much we pay a 3rd string quarterack?

you're stepping further and further away from sanity with every post. at some point, you have to admit that either 1) you've been smoking crack or 2) you're not the real dh2982 and are an ES mod who hacked into his account?

POSSIBLE:

1. McNabb
2. Campbell (for a year)
3. Grossman

Re: Can Colt Brennan beat Rex Grossman for number 2 spot

could colt beat out rex for the no 2 spot? i suppose so but with kyle and shanny bringing him in i think that is an indication they have him pegged as our no 2 qb.

could colt win our 3rd string qb spot? i dont see why not. shanny and allen may pick a late round qb to develop which would give the new guy a leg up on colt or they could not draft late round qb and colt would have a legit shot in competition btw him, bartel and probably some other undrafted rookie qbs, etc.

if shanny and allen draft a qb, it doesnt look too good for the colt fans.

i dont think it is a given that we draft a late round qb this year. we could bring in an undrafted qb who i dont think will have the same buffer as a qb shanny and allen actually spend a draft pick on.

Re: Can Colt Brennan beat Rex Grossman for number 2 spot

I hope they don't waste a pick on a QB this year. They have a serious lack of picks to begin with and so many holes to plug. Plus most every mid-rd QB is a back-up at best if not out of the league in 3 years. Hopefully McNabb is here for 4 years, which gives them a couple of years to wait until they draft a QB. The team is in win-now mode, use every available pick and trade option to immediately upgrade the roster for a serious championship push

I've never gotten it, I'll be glad when he's gone and we can retire the PJ avatars. LOL

Re: Can Colt Brennan beat Rex Grossman for number 2 spot

well it would be a shame if Colt didn't get a chance. Especially the way he came out preseason. Thanks to FO wasting there time with JC we may never know what CB could have been for us.

2nd string is going to be very important because the chances of DM going 16 games is Very Doubtful. So we are still looking at a potential QB crisis at some point.

Everyones starting to get excited about DM but were not out of the woods yet. They better get this right.

Well, really, the ONLY question on my mind is whether PJ15 will go into the Hall of Fame as a Redskin. Seriously, very important!

Gameplanning and de-prioritizing OLmen are different from talent-evaulating skill. Brennan's overhypedness is all because of his first preseason.
