Executive vice president of football operations. What a joke. Florios comments mirror my own. Different people. Same old redskins.

Re: Shanahan The New Head Coach Of the Redskins

Say what you will about Shanahan's end tenure at Denver, he is the best coach available, he is a known for building high-power offenses, he is "fresh" hasn't been calling bingo or running a nascar team, and has a strong relationship with the GM.

I call it a win.

This is the first coach we've had since Marty with the balls to tell Synder NO, when it comes to personnel decisions (and I include Gibbs 2.0...he was just too damn nice).

This team is a two year project for anyone, but this is the most hope I have had for a competitive team since 2004. I'm interested to see who is coming in at director of player personnel...that is Mike's one glaring weakness and he needs a strong person there along with his son.

My daughter says that she is serving the two men dinner right now. Shanny is having Lobster Tail and Danny is having the Fillet mignon.

Yeah right I wish, I would be on my way to take pictures!

Seriously though, I doubt that this isn't true.

I heard on the radio its a 5 year deal worth 35 million. Is that the going rate today for an NFL coach?

Does this mean we're going to have to deal with your whining about this? Seriously, if you can't see this as an upgrade you are in the .001 of anyone with a ounce of football knowledge. I suppose there always has to be one.

I believe this entire coaching staff will get the ax. Players, I have a few longtime veterans in mind that may not be back. The speculation from now until training camp and beyond is what's going to keep it interesting.

When Shanahan was fired, he had 3 years left at 7Mil a year, so I would say this is a reasonable rate based on his previous salary
