Let our new GM Chris Polian choose his coach.

Re: Russ Grimm our next coach?

Some people are good at what they do

Zorn was supposedly a good QB coach for quite awhile

Grimm has .. well I don't know, because neither Pittsburgh or Arizona have been known for their O-Lines with him there

I don't know what people know that I don't that makes us believe that he'd be a good OC or HC.. I haven't seen a single argument yet other than him being tough and won't take any shit, so why wouldn't we want Gruden?

You don't hire an O-Line coach as the HC to improve your O-Line, just as you shouldn't hire a QB coach as the HC to improve your QB

It needs a "Do you want Grimm as our next coach"?

Then I wouldn't have clicked on it because I thought there was a link to some rumormill about Grimm coming to the Skins. I wouldn't even entertain a question about Grimm becoming our next head coach.
No need to be so picky

Re: Russ Grimm our next coach?

Russ Grimm could work here...if he gets the same support staff (proven successful Front Office Exec, proven successful playcaller) surrounding him, much the same way Miami has done for Tony Sparano. But otherwise, why give up a guy with no playcalling experience just for another guy with no playcalling experience?

As with all "who should coach" arguments, one needs to ask who the GM(-ish) person is.

Re: Russ Grimm our next coach?

The question is not who we want, but rather who would be willing to take the job at this point? We are at a level with the Raiders right now in terms how we are viewed organizationally by the rest of the league. We are a joke. A laughingstock. An object of ridicule and derision. A disgrace. An embarrasment. A scandal. A disaster. I don't think Grimm would work for Snyder. That is how low we have sunk. The Bidwell family are better employers than the Redskins.

Remember we probably don't hear about the people they have contacted or made overtures to who said, "Are you kidding..." and then just hung up the phone.

Having a good day? Turn that frown upside down!

Re: Russ Grimm our next coach?

Russ Grimm has been mentioned how many seasons for a HC position and he hasn't been hired? Damn man, we had Gibbs and Bugel together again and they couldn't right the ship. I was 21 when we won our last title and I am pushing 40 now. THe old days were fun, but they are history. Bringing in old Skins just to bring back a speck of the glory days isn't going to bring us a winner.

Offensive linemen, but you don't have a HC work with the linemen much. Bring him in here maybe for the new O line coach, but no way should he have a headset on come game day. And to be honest, we have multiple positional needs. You can take your pick: QB, WR, T,G,T,C,S,CB and maybe a LB.

Add a CB and RB to the list.
