I know, I hate to even think about how nasty our d would be if ST (rip) was still around.

You guys are gonna hear alot from a guy named Evan Royster. He plays at Penn State and will have an amazing season. He's only a JR but he could go in the top 10.

Re: Looking Ahead to the 2010 Draft: Depth

we want TEBOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't care I want him cause he is a Winner, and he'll make the whole team better. And he won't accept slackers. Seriously, this guy is going to be a winner in the pro's. Who cares about the mechanics, he'll learn that with time, I want him for his drive, even if we do line him up at H Back, or FB.

RIP Sean Taylor

That said, I feel that Taylor Mays shows a lot of similar attributes with Sean Taylor.

Now i'm not saying there will be another one, there won't be, but as far as physical tools go, Taylor Mays is somewhat comprable to Sean Taylor 21. Anybody else agree.

Big Ten running backs don't get a lot of respect because the lack of quality teams in the conference. If Evan Royster gets 250 yards against Akron this weekend no one will really care. Royster is good, but there's no way he will go in the top 10.

I will go as far to say that Mays is the best safety in college football, and he's big, but I couldn't compare him to ST unless he were playing in the NFL.

IMO Mays is the best college football player in the country. He reminds me of #21 so much it's scary. I'd love to see him come to DC. Total beast.

A lot of people seem to think that Eric Berry > Mays, but I have definitely not done enough research to pass judgment.

From what I've seen, Mays levels dudes way harder..hes bigger and more athletic...

But I think Berry has better stats in college

I'd never go as far to compare him to Sean Taylor, but he could be potentially close. The downside is if either of them are still on the board when we draft, things probably didn't go as planned in 2009 - 2010 season. On another note, I know I may be slightly biased as a PSU fan, but Evan Royster, a VA product certainly deserves a look at RB in the top 3... IMO.
We should draft an O-lineman...in later rounds. Give me a 1st round defensive game changer anyday.

In a perfect world I'd love to get a top flight tackle early on and a guard who can start straight away by the end of round 3 next year.

yeah, o line is def. our biggest weak spot, provided JC and our young receivers progress...even if they do...o line still may be the weakest spot
