Re: Rams released Pisa Tinoisamoa!

If we sign him, move McIntosh to the SAM, put him at the WILL, leave Orapko at DE then I'll be cool. That could move our defense from damn good to damn near elite.

I think he would not be a bad addition. He was scheduled to make 2.25 mil. for the Lambs so maybe we could get him cheaper.

I think the article alluded to him not being able to demand much money in the market.

I don't know anything about the Rams, mostly cuz they suck. So anyway is Pisa a blowup guy? I heard he can be inconsistent but that usually means a player goes big too...i ask becuase IMO our defense needs a blowup type player.

...any word whether the FO wants this guy? Man we're being stingy since the big signings. Nothing on Levi Jones, Marcus gets nothing but vet min etc. I can't say I blame our FO guys...we're trying to turn things around.

You could say he's a blowup guy. The problem is he seems to hurt himself quite a bit by doing it. There's a link to a pretty good article about this on the first page, post #11.

Read it. Ok...the guy is injury prone at age 27(?). Doesn't bode well for the future.

...hey does anyone know if that kid Rey is available...I heard he's going to be very good in the NFL

Seriously, I'll feel more comfortable w/ our defense if we snatch another vet @ LB. Marcus, Pisa...whoever it is will be a stopgap in all likelihood.

Linebacker? Yawn. We have other positions to worry about.

The Skins need to sign this guy immediately. They need to address their shortage of Samoan players on the squad. Sign him now - - even if you have to pay more than the vet minimum...

? Because of the old saying, "Samoans win championships"?

Re: Rams released Pisa Tinoisamoa!

I sure our front office is aware that he is on the market but do they think he could fit our scheme is the question. He does have the game experince at the LB positon so that helps him and he played in a 4-3 defense. He is listed at 6-01 241 on ESPN which is undersized but he plays with heart. If the price is right and he is healthy maybe we should bring him to camp.

Re: Rams released Pisa Tinoisamoa!

Look, the FO is only signing Tinoisamoa if A) Blache thinks he's a better Weak Side LB than Mcintosh (no). B) If we're willing to pay him the money he's asking. (doubt it). And C) Were not in the market for a Weak Side LB, so to me this would be a bad signing. Thats why Rams released him, because they found out he wasn't big enough to play SAM, so to sign him would mean he'd be start at weak side while we're still experimenting at SAM which is still a need. This move wouldn't make sense.

I agree Vallin. I'm a little weary of trying guys at different positions other than where they excel. Enough of the experimenting already. If you want a SAM, sign a SAM.
