Re: What are you going to eat for the Super Bowl?

Making Chili in the crockpot. Going to brown the meat and saute the onions and peppers tomorrow night, toss it in the fridge, then Sunday morning, the crockpot will be turned on around 9am combining that with a can of kidney beans and Wick Fowler's 2 Alarm Chili Kit (yes I know it's better to have your own recipe, but I've found this kit gives my chili the right amount of flavor). Low simmer until the Super Bowl. Also having cornbread, rice and fritos to use as base. Friends are bringing various other snacks to go with...

About 12 Coronas and 3 hotpockets. Of course I will probably find my way to the fridge a few times scouring for some leftovers as well.

I'm definitely going to be in the 8-10 beer range tomorrow. I've got a nice bottle of scotch in the freezer, too. I'm sure I'll cap the evening off with a night cap or two. I've been working like a slave this month. I need to get good and drunk tomorrow. I just have to keep it semi-under control until I leave my Mom's party. Can't get all sloppy around the family. Well, I guess I could, but I don't want to be that guy.

I think were just going to do the standard Pizza, Wings, and probaboly an awful lot of cold beer...were doing something small. We threw a huge party for the Thursday Night Opener so were kind of toning it down for the Super Bowl.....

I still don't have a fully functional kitchen yet. We do have a fridge and microwave but the range was damaged when it came in so we're out of luck until Monday. So I doubt we'll be doing any cooking at home. We'll probably order up some pizza and wings.

I honestly like Dominos wings. I was really skeptical the first time I ordered them, and was pleasantly surprised. I'd go with a thin crust pepperoni and green peppers and as many wings as you can handle. And lots of blue chz. Unless you have a mom and pop place in your area with better food than the big guys (which is one thing I miss about living in a small town).

I love Domino's thin crust pizzas and wings. You can't beat thin crust, no tomato sauce, chicken on the whole pizza, green on one half and pineapple on the other....delicious! I'm gonna order one right now.

Re: What are you going to eat for the Super Bowl?

Domino's wings aren't bad, and their thin crust is decent. I'm just glad to have a go-to Mom & Pop place for pizza and wings. I have found my favorite wings come from Hard Times Cafe...all their flavors are good, but my favorite are the Chili Lime wings grilled. A very close second is a place in Germantown I go to called Pelican Pete's. They have huge wings, and I usually get mine with Old Bay.

@EE21 - the asian zing is great, but my fave has to be mango habanero. Sweet on the initial bite while the heat hits the back of your throat.

Along with the chili I made, a buddy of mine smoked 9 lbs of chicken wings (simple mesquite marinade over mesquite chips), half of which ended up leftover and what I will snack/eat for the next few days.

Ill have to try the mango habanero. oh, and old bay on chicken is really good. I make a thick pasty marinade with oldbay, vinegar and oil and grill chicken breasts in the summer time and put thin slices of cucumber on top of them. they're pretty good. I'd love to try some wings with old bay.
