If your up 27 to nothing, you should be allowed to poop in the other teams endzone.

lol I'm just visualizing this and for some reason I find it hilarious. Maybe it's the eggnog.

I'm pretty sure you'd get a delay of game penalty for that.

Re: End Zone celebration

I'm probably not going to get much backup on this one, but as long as players don't make obscene gestures or expose themselves I think they should be allowed to do whatever they damn well please.

Why? Cause I know if i scored a TD in the NFL I'd do like eight cartwheels and a back-flip. And no I don't think the TDs would ever get old. That's just me.

If I crossed the goal line, I'd pet my turtle.

... probably gonna fall under the category of obscene gesture. I reckon a fine, suspension and hundreds of public apologies will be in order.

Re: End Zone celebration

I think the whole endzone celebration rule is carried a bit too far like most rules in the NFL...including hitting the QB.

Yeah i feel that way 90% of the time... the other 10% JC is getting plastered in the backfield and then I wish there was a "touch-rule" in place for QBs. I'm not very consistent.

... to his credit, which I don't think he's gotten much even around here, JC has stood up tall in the pocket and taken some mother f@ck%ng shots this year. He hasn't bitched, hasn't called out his line. Whether he plays really well or makes too many critical errors in a particular game the kid doesn't back down against the onslaught. That completion he made (forget the receiver) on Sunday when the Eagles blitzed and Jason took a shot, which actually looked helmet to helmet on the replay, was pretty impressive.

Re: End Zone celebration

JC is a pretty good size dude and he plays like it. I thought for sure we'd get a call on that helmet to helmet hit, and I know I just sound like a fan, but I've seen so many no-calls against the Skins opposition it does'nt even surprise me anymore. I remember a Cowboy dragging Jeff George, when he played for us, 5 yards down the field by the collar after a sack and there was no call. Sounds like sourgrapes I know.

Thats another stupid rule. I believe if the QB is going to run he should not be afforded the luxury to slide to avoid a hit. If the QB doesn't want a hit, he either shouldn't run or make sure he gets out of bounds.

and the play shouldn't be blown dead as soon as the quarterback starts falling, though it did keep us from losing a fumble or two this year

Re: End Zone celebration

how about acting like you have been there before? because im pretty sure just about everyone that has scored an N.F.L touchdown has scored before, in some type of football

Re: End Zone celebration

I agree the NFL has gotten a little too tough on celebrations, but it is what it is and guys know the rules, so I can't feel bad for them when they get hit with fines.
