They did get hosed on that one, but at least Williams is still pretty young and seems to want to play and have a successful career, whereas Taylor is old and wants a nice segway into the studio.

I'm not all that upset about throwing away our draft picks on veterans though because God knows we'd have just ended up taking a bunch of crappy rookies anyways (only kind of kidding).

I would rather have Williams then Taylor. Williams is very young still and is talented. He will be a NO 1 reciever and make it easier to part with TO. He is new to the team and they have lots of offensive weapons so he wasn't going to come in and take over this year.

Say what you want about Parcells, but he has proven that he can build a team and if he didn't want Taylor then there was a good reason. He was just lucky to find Vinny who couldn't help himself. Of course the way we draft, maybe not having the second round pick will just be less misery we have to go thru after this years draft and another wasted top pick.

I hated the high price for Taylor, but when the deal was made I thought it was decent & that there was a change JT would have something to prove.

He actually looked good yesterday, but for the most part Evans has been better. That's a lot of $ & a 2nd round pick gone. Hopefully Vinny can trade out of the first to get a 2nd round pick like last draft.

We only gave up one pick for Kendall. Doesn't change the fact that Vinny and Dan are complete idiots.

Picking up Kendall was not a bad trade. We'll end up giving up a 4th after getting two solid seasons (and that is probably it) from the guy. He helped solidify a line that had major injuries last year (and again at the end of 2008) and one that had absolutely no one to play left guard after the FO let Dockery walk (not saying they should have paid him what Buffalo did, but they should have come stronger in early negotiations and maybe gotten him locked up during 2006).

Taylor made some sense at the time, and I think the majority of us were fairly positive about the move in July (given the circumstances). Watching the guy play on Sunday, though, he is just stealing a paycheck these days. The stats tell part of the story, but the tape tells an even worse one. He doesn't even care anymore and shows zero effort. Time to send him packing to Hollywood.

Dockery was one that got away but he wasn't worth the big money that Buffalo gave him. Kendall has been a solid band aid but we need to work on finding his replacement.
