Re: Here we go again

As much as I love the Redskins, beating the Giants is a big challenge. The Redskin defense has been exposed in the past two weeks against the run. That is the Giants strength. The Redskin defense will have to stop the run or else it will be a long day. The Redskin offense needs to open up and make more plays downfield. This means the offensive line needs to provide more pass protection so Campbell can even attempt to go downfield. The Skins need a healthy Portis and a solid contribution from Betts. The Skins will have to be firing on all cylinders to beat the Giants.

I agree in part,I want Jacobs to play and I think we need him ...Burrass can kiss my butt and we can win without him. This Giants team has stepped up before and risen to the top and can again.I agree we just need to play the game ...allout...who ever wins ,wins .You guys are a good team so is NY and I believe it'll be a good game but at no time do I think the Skins will catch the Giants in the standings ,not now.

They play, and the only way the Skins win is if the Giants just come out and play poorly.
The way your offensive line is playing, I believe you can beat anyone WITHOUT Jacobs and Burress as long as Eli is efficient. Therein lies the key for the Skins - rattle Eli into making bad throws. If Eli gets comfortable in the pocket, it will be a long day.

Cardinals weren't able to make any big plays down the field. Will be tough for the Skins.

Re: Here we go again

Jacobs is the most important player for the Redskins. Burress burns us when Shawn Springs isn't playing [see this season opener], but Springs does fine against Burress and Springs should be ready to play on Sunday.

Jacobs is a great back. He hurts the Skins, he hurts just about everyone. Stopping him is a major challenge and I don't know that we're up to it. [We couldn't even shut down Maurice Morris -- not a good sign.]

Washington will have to play its best game of the season to defeat the Giants. Whatever our best game of the season has been so far [Cowboys, Eagles], it won't be enough against the Giants. We'll have to do better.

The Giants lost by 3 touchdowns to the Browns and were taken to overtime by the Bengals, so they're not indestructible. [Or maybe they've got some problem with crappy teams from Ohio.] The Redskins are capable of beating the Giants. But it'll take our best effort and best execution. The teams know each other very well and the coaching staffs have had a good long look at one another. The team with the better players on Sunday will win.

We don't make big plays down the field anyway. If you stop Portis, you win the game.

re: Congratulations from a Giants Fan Ready for Next Sunday

The Giants are really impressive. I don't want to hear anyone on this site complain about injuries. The Giants have been CRUSHED by injury. Who thought they'd be doing this with all the not just starters, not stars, out of the lineup. This game could get messy fast if the Redskins don't find an offense.

I can't help but think the Skins are leaving points on the field by not getting the ball to Cooley in the red zone.

Re: Congratulations from a Giants Fan Ready for Next Sunday

As bad as we looked the first game, we still only lost by 9 points. Obviously the Giants are better, but so are we. I hope we can keep this close.

Key is to get pressure on Eli. Browns did that, and I saw shades of Bad Eli that game.
