Re: Betts, James, and Horn
No way I would even trade Betts for Ed Reed straight up. That's crazy talk! Who the hell is Ed Reed anyways.
This rumor is the result of someone mixing a big bag of weed with some industrial strength bathroom cleaners as well as a large scoop of mescaline. |

Re: Betts, James, and Horn
Good that James is going to play some, I hear that he's been impressive in practice
Not even jsarno cares about Joe Horn being released I believe Betts restructured his contract last month, but I don't know if that makes him more or less tradeable I know that the Redskins have some concerns about Landry's ability to start game 1 due to his nagging hamstring injury (wouldn't surprise me if Springs got the start there week 1, especially if Rogers is ready to start again) That said, Ed Reed is questionable for the season opener (if not longer) as well with a shoulder injury so that doesn't solve that problem We should, if we insist on trading for a Ravens safety, go after Dawan Landry. How cool would that be?

Re: Betts, James, and Horn
Reasons Ozzie Newsome would trade Ed Reed for Ladell Betts:
1. Vinny Cerrato agreed to throw in a half pound of boat, Mystics season tickets, and a guest spot in MI IV 2. He's trying to frame Ray Lewis for murder rather than extend his contract 3. Ozzie saw that the warranty on McGahee's knee expired in '07 |

Re: Betts, James, and Horn
No way.
We'll need Betts this year. Zorn is planning on using Portis AND Betts together in the backfield and also Betts is great on pass plays (receiving, not blocking). He's an important piece to the offense. Of course, Rock DOES look great at RB, as does Mason, but we do not have a need for old man Reed.

I would be surprised if we got anything for Rock. Remember, he was a FA and thought he would get an opportunity somewhere else but ended up back with the Skins. I would rather trade Betts and get a mid-round pick. |

Re: Betts, James, and Horn
I'd trade Ladell for Ed Reed. Can you imagine Ed Reed and Landry as our Safetys? That'd almost be as much firepower as Landry and Sean Taylor.

Re: Betts, James, and Horn
What the hell, lets just cut a bunch of people and sign a bunch of other people. I mean come on, Rock and Betts are both over 25 - get rid of those dinosaurs. Churn that roster!

Re: Betts, James, and Horn
lets be realistic. Rock is a team leader, but unspectacular the 70 yd run was the greatest he has had aside from his one td run as a return man. Hes not devin hester, hes solid but not dynamic, hes also older.
Betts, im happy with he is a good compliment, but i gurantee, will be kicking ourselves is mason goes to another team. |

Re: Betts, James, and Horn
I'd like to trade this thread to ES. I'll take anything in return.

Re: Betts, James, and Horn
Enough with the trade talk. Trades are rare enough as it is and they typically don't involve 2nd or 3rd string RBs.

Re: Betts, James, and Horn
You are right Matty, trades are rare and i dont think another is happening this season.
I still would like to watch the waiver wire tho for some help on the defense :-) |
