Re: D.B. Cooper's parachute found?

So this was on the CNN homepage this afternoon. Just struck me as odd that it came out just after we bumped our thread:

My uncle was D.B. Cooper, Oklahoma woman claims - CNN.com

Perhaps Lotus did leave his parachute out in the woods ....

Re: D.B. Cooper's parachute found?

This reminds of Jerry Glanville. When he was the coach of the Falcons and leaving will call tickets for DB Cooper. The Feds had to actually show up, to see if the tickets would be pick up by Cooper.

Re: D.B. Cooper's parachute found?

He would leave them for different people.

Quote:
Atlanta Falcons Coach Jerry Glanville has been known to leave game tickets for Elvis Presley, the Phantom of the Opera and James Dean. On Sunday, he should have left some for his offense. They never showed, either.
Glanville Should Have Left Tickets for Offense : AFC: Falcons fail to score a touchdown and Steelers rally to win for the fourth time in their last five games, 21-9. Miller throws three interceptions. - Los Angeles Times

Quote:
Q.There was a story that when you were coaching in the N.F.L., you would leave tickets for Elvis before every game. Was that true?

A. Don’t screw up a good story with facts. We were playing the New England Patriots in a spring game. June Jones and I were riding to work in a pickup truck, and on the radio they said Elvis was spotted at a Burger King in Michigan. And June says, “Isn’t the halftime show dedicated to Elvis at our game?” I said, “Yeah.” He goes, “Well hell, we ought to leave him a ticket.” So we left him a ticket. Now if you get on the Internet, you’ll see that I left him a ticket for every game I coached in Atlanta. We never left a ticket for anyone in Atlanta, ever. But why ruin that story?

Re: D.B. Cooper's parachute found?

As details start to come out about the most recent person claiming DB was her uncle it seems like shes just looking for attention. Still seems funny the FBI would issue a press release about it though.

Didn't Michael Scoefield and Lincoln Burrows find the money buried under a house?

"Capt. Bringdown"?? I am a bright, chipper guy who walks with a skip in his step, a song in my heart and a six pack in the cooler. What did I do to warrant that misnomer of a psuedonym?
