I agree.. While she may have been wrong, he caused his own downfall by the foolishness of his decisions..

Back on topic, I'd never hit a woman. Never ever hit a woman. But I'd shake the sh*t out of one! (Chris Rock-Bring the Pain, available on DVD)-sorry had to be done.

Re: Steelers Cut WR Wilson After Arrest

I was raised never to hit a woman and I would never, however, legally, if she hits you first and you hit her back, she is just as liable in a court system than a man. You will both be charged and she will get the harsher of the punishment for starting it. If its me though, I say there is always a way out of a room. If a woman hits me, I leave and call the athorities. A woman will be prosecuted just the same as I would if I hit her. Nowadays, regardless of sex, it is really hard to justify hittting anyone, even if it is in self defense.

When I was 15 I got into a fight in school with a kid that had been picking on me since kindergarden. He pushed my head into a brick wall so I broke his jaw... we were both charged as adults with assault and battery. He plead guilty and I plead innocent. He got juvie, probation, and 250 hours community service, but the judge told me I should have "assumed the fetal posistion until help arrived." He senteced me to probation and 100 hours community service.

Ummm yeah. Insert "Ben Roethlesberger" for "Cedric Wilson" and are there any doubts that the official line would be "We're looking into it - we want to make sure we get Ben's side of the story blah blah blah".

Re: Steelers Cut WR Wilson After Arrest

The following is a comment from Pro Football Talk:

"Perhaps in response to criticism of the comments of Steelers chairman Dan Rooney regarding the decision of the team to cut backup receiver Cedrick Wilson and keep linebacker James Harrison when the two players essentially engaged in the same conduct, the team has issued a statement that attempts to clarify Mr. Rooney’s remarks.

Here’s the full text of the release:

To clarify the comments made earlier regarding the conduct of our players, in no way do we condone domestic violence of any kind. Each incident must be considered on a case-by-case basis

In the situation with James Harrison, he contacted us immediately after his incident and has taken responsibility for his actions.

“In today’s decision with Cedrick Wilson, we determined the situation was severe enough to warrant the player being released immediately.

“We trust that today’s roster move will indicate our intentions and send a message that we will not tolerate this type of conduct.”

Um, we’re not sure that this really clarifies anything. Wilson, as we understand it, was cut before he was even charged — and he has taken full responsibility.

No matter what the team says, people are going to believe that Harrison got to stay with the team because he’s a star, and Wilson didn’t because he isn’t. And those people probably are right.

Moving forward, things definitely will get interesting when the next Steeler player gets arrested for roughing up a female. If, for example, the culprit is Ben Roethlisberger or Willie Parker or Hines Ward, will the team reiterate its message? Or will the team find a way to distinguish the situations?

“Well, you see, Cedrick’s incident happened on a Wednesday. This one happened on a Saturday. And we all know that Saturday night’s all right for fighting.”

Ideally, the players will simply get the message, and none of them will strike, push, shove, choke, kick, punch, cold cock, knee, elbow, head butt, tackle, bend, break, and/or bop any of the ladies in their lives."

Damn bro. That judge was a BITCH!!!. He expects you to sit there and get hit? WTF??

Back in college I use to date a girl who got very violent when she drank too much. Always starting fights with me, kicking me in the balls, punching me and what not. Guess I deserved it casue I cheated. But I never hit her back. But one time she got in my car and drove drunk and tried to run me over outside of her apartment. So I yanked her ass out of my car so she wouldn't hurt anybody. Well when I yanked her out of my car she fell down and sprained her wrist. Cops came and told her to go inside and sober up and arrested me for simple assault. I learned a lesson. Never hang around people that are violent or get violent cause even if you're trying to defend yourself, or your property, you could end up getting arrested. Total 100% bullshit.

Re: Steelers Cut WR Wilson After Arrest

Sounds like the lawyers are back in town.

This is from the original article:
Wilson apologized and said he will be treated for anger management.

"I shouldn't have done it. I hold myself to a higher standard than that," he told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. "I just want to apologize to Lindsey, her family, the NFL family and the Pittsburgh Steeler nation. I let them down."

Lindsey Paulat told police that Wilson pushed her on the shoulder at the Patron Mexican Grill on Wednesday night. She said when she turned around he punched her in the left side of her face, according to the complaint.

Stories have a tendancy to change when the consequences are fully realized.

See that what I was talking about he could have shook the hell out of her or pushed her hard he probably didn't hit her. He could have apologized for it being advertised everywhere giving him and the Steelers a bad name.

Sorry dude. She could also be covering up because they BOTH stand to lose much more ($$$) with the original version. By changing her story (perhaps) all that is lost is her dignity.

Besides, giving him the benefit of the doubt that he "only" shook the hell out of her or pushed her hard is hardly an acquittal. Where I come from, that is a physical assault.

It was James Harrison, one of their starting linebackers, he had a breakout year last year, if I were in the Steelers position I would have done the same thing to Cedric Wilson, but I would have probably diciplined James Harrison.

Look I understand what you are saying I'm giving the situation the benefit of the doubt. I'm just saying females are dirty they will change stories to get what they want from a celebrities or people with money like Kobe I'm pretty that woman let Kobe do whatever then decided she could get some big money out of him then help rape. Not all but some females are very manipulative.
